I recently bought a 2015 tacoma. About 2 hours into the 6 hour drive the ign1 #2 fuse blew and we lost a/c, power windows, and the airbag light, traction control light, and a few other warning lights came on. I am sure all the warning lights are from all the stuff that was connected to ign1 #2 fuse. We replaced the fuse and everything went back to normal but now everytime we turn the blower selector on the fuse pops instantly. Weird thing to me is that if I just turn the truck key to on without starting truck I can then turn the blower motor on lo, med, and high and it will run just fine without popping the fuse. So in my mind that would eliminate the blower selector, blower motor and blower motor resistor from being the problem. If anyone knows where to look next, I would greatly appreciate the advice.

Unplug your A/C compressor and see if it still pops with the A/C on, if it doesn't then your A/C clutch is shorted. If it still does then you have a shorted wire going to the A/C compressor.

unplugged the ac compressor and it still popped when turning on the blower motor. I will try to chase down the wires and look at them tomorrow when I have more light. Would it still be one of those 2 if it pops even without the ac button selected? Thanks

I don't see what else it could be based on your symptom description, it feeds alot of stuff but since you say it only blows with the blower on and engine running I would think it would have to be in the A/C circuit.

I would think clutch circuit as well, I'd start by removing the MG CLT relay out (if this works, its a wiring short between relay and clutch), see if it pops, then if it has it CDS FAN relay.

For giggles I would 100% check the connector to the resistor. It's the big one by the blower motor by the passenger foot well.

Removing the mg-clt relay worked and it does not pop the fuse now when turning on blower. Forgive my ignorance, I am guessing that means it is either the mag clutch or the wiring going to it causing the issue with relay in?

That would seem to be the case.
It's going to be a Violet wire.
