^Notice the viscosity drops by an order of magnitude from 40 to 100C.

93 vs. 184 cSt is actually considered a small difference, that's why they're in the same viscosity class. i.e. another company's 75W90 may be 180 cSt when cold and still be sold under the same 75W90 specification.

Just as an example: Castrol 75W90 with 132 cSt viscosity at 40C: https://msdspds.castrol.com/bpglis/...299DD58802583FA00671A17/$File/BPXE-BCA8RK.pdf

Yeah, none of it really matters that much. When warm, they are all very close. Even the thinnest oil when cold is thicker than the thickest warm oil. Just wanted to clarify that they are not "the same," even though they're both 75W and that the number that sticks to strict thicknesses at specific temperatures is the second number.

Either way, splash lubed differentials are not nearly as sophisticated as engines. As long as pretty much any weight (within reason) of the proper GL rating oil is in there, it’ll be fine. If anything a heavier weight might be slightly superior to the CAFE specs that Toyota adheres to.

There is no way my OCD would survive this. I vote to change it out with no supporting logic other than I am freaking out just knowing you did this to your truck.LOL

I do plan to change it out before this fall when I do the rear differential. I will read the labels really careful this time.

I'm pretty sure I would have had an accidental drain and refill instead of starting a thread about it. :D
