Agree. Own a 3rd gen Tacoma and i love it but my 5th gen 4runner just has better build quality and drivability.

I may not like it ? I could give a shit about people coming in and “bragging” about how much better a 4R is. As I stated whatever makes you sleep at night.

If I bought a Gwagen the last thing on my mind would be to inform my 3G buddies about how much better a 4 liter TT v8 is over a Tacoma.

BEV's are poised to dominate the market in the next 5-10 years, Ford isn't dropping $6B on their Blueoval plant for no reason, GM isn't dropping $7B for no reason, Toyota's longtime president and CEO Akio Toyoda also didn't step down for no reason, go google why he stepped down (hint: rapidly moving to electric vehicles). The writing is clearly on the wall. I also think comparing ICE vehicles to BEV's is totally fair game in 2023, it's not 2013 anymore. If you aren't pulling 500+ HP with 70+ MPGe you are now an inferior cheaper product, that's an objective fact. The only thing BEV's can't do right now is tow extended distances.

They also need to charge for 15-30min every 150-180 miles when on a road trip. A complete and utter shit show.
No beating them around town however

Imagine condescendingly commenting on something and then claiming you don't give a shit when your misinfo is corrected.

More like ~300 miles, but yeah they do have to charge 15-30 mins when you run out, a perfect time to stretch the legs and eat after driving for 5 hours straight. I owned a Tesla model S and it was pretty rare for me to go 300+ miles somewhere aside from vacations which I just used the truck for anyway.

No, it’s not 300+. No EV, Other than a lucid air with a 500 mile range can go 300 miles between charges on a road trip unless you wait 1 hr + at the chargers . You never charge an ev to 100% on road trips as the last 20% takes longer than the first 80

Oh I see, basing off 80% of charge is right for a road trip. The model S gets a 400 mile range as well.

You don't think it's condescending to effectively say "Imagine going to sleep at night thinking the sky is blue" unsarcastically?

If not condescending it's definitely pompous ass behavior.

Yes the “advertised” range is 405 100-0%.

I had one for 6 months, on a road trip in my model S it was about 210-250 miles 10/15-80% Freeway consumption is very high compared to around town.

Yeah I noticed that as well in my Tesla, the regenerative braking around town adds a lot to the range.

From factory, door cards were perfect, my steering wheel was centered, centre console is just fine (why wouldn’t it be?) and I’ve got zero rattles despite having spent many miles off-road.

You guys are hilarious with your made in Japan talk.

Is it that big of a deal? Haha

I don’t even consider it as an “improvement” over a simple prop up stick. What’s wrong with it?

Less things to go wrong my friend.;)

The hood struts are so nice and convenient. I have no idea why they didnt add this to the newer 3rd gen tacoma design. Then you see people adding them aftermarket.

Did something similar-ish. Do miss having a bed for Lowe's trips but other than that so much happier.

Not a huge deal but every time I pop the hood on my wife's 4Runner I think about how much nicer it is.

Maybe "less to go wrong" but hood struts rarely go bad and take a couple minutes to replace if needed
