So many back roads there that the sxs's are out in droves just cruising around.

    Stuff.. but not much
I hunted 22 for whitetail back in 2017 and tagged out on a decent buck. 8-9 miles behind the Mazatzal Peak on the Barnhardt Trailhead. Get out on a mountain and glass, glass, glass, and glass some more.

I’d appreciate it, I haven’t been that far into the front end on this truck and wouldn’t mind some supervision. PM sent :hattip:

That's what I'm seeing, gfs dad has a sxs. Thinking I'm gonna need to get the taco ready to get anywhere decent and safely though. Whitetail are not an easy hunt as it is. Thinking I'm gonna have to get them in there pretty deep.

    Thanks.

No problem. I have heard of some hunters taking a small boat across Bartlett Lake and hike in from there as well.

FS393 that will get you to lower elevation areas east of Bartlett but still a lot of bushwacking to regain elevation

Peeley TH and Mormon Grove other access points as well. At least for Southern- central Maztazal Wilderness area access

Mormon Grove IIRC is around 5200 feet. If you hike up the short connector trail to the AZT at the saddle there's a hilltop you should be able to glass from down the west slopes. Saw a ton of cat tracks up here last time though couple bear tracks no deer/ elk sign though20200215_122228.jpg 20200215_122011.jpg

So close to being done but so damn hot. Just need to tighten the front drive shaft bolts, fill the rear diff and throw the wheels on. Going to wrap it up when it cools down a bit later. Can’t wait to feel the difference.

Nice. 5.29’s are the way to go if actually off roaring on anything bigger than 34’s

Yeah, 35’s seem to be the sweet spot for me and my use case right now. My main motivation was for towing. Will actually be able to use 4th-6th gear again.

You're towing your camper on 35's? Wow, here I'm thinking my OE size and next size up are going to be interesting. 5th (MT) is generally my go to with my little Hiker MR510.
