That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
I was stationed at North Island, CA which is located on very close to a posh island community. The residents have signs in their yards that say "Dogs and Sailors keep off the grass."

lol, perfect. It’s been like this for over a week it seems.

That seems like a pretty dire warning. I wonder how bad indoor air is, considering most hvac systems arent exactly perfectly isolated from outdoors. Would it be better to run the air through the furnace/filter, or just let the air be still inside? Any HVAC/indoor air experts?

Well, pretty much everyone on this job site was working outside most of the day. So, I guess if I have problems, I won't be the only one.

HVAC units typically don’t filter super fine particles. Most air is recirculated though, so that helps a ton.

I believe feds require several exchanges of air for commercial buildings per day. Being inside isn't much of a help in those circumstances. Your house is probably better, but I doubt a furnace filter is fine enough.

COPD and Asthma must be a bitch.

Someone should start a class-action suit against Canuckistan for poisoning our air!

That’s what I figured…BLAME CANADA!!! In fairness, they’re probably apologizing profusely, and feel horrible about all those poor trees.

The UP seems like it’s in a pocket of clear air….hmmm

Monday I did a campus tour of Michigan Tech and that trip I got 22MPG that's the best I have gotten with the truck. Must like that 55-65MPH range. I found it kind of weird how up north there the 2 lane highways are 65 in places it feels like your going light speed because you'd think it would be 55. Also update on tint. I am going to the local shop in town it didn't end up being the cheapest option but it is the most convenient (~675). Plus my money is going to a local business. so there is that. Bad news on that is they are backed up till August 3rd. So you will all get an update on the tint then lmao. Miss out on all that heat rejection for the summer but sneak a bit of it in before it gets cold again. I am trying not to think about that though. Anyways here is some phone photos

My work just renovated our building with new active and UV filtration systems to eliminate essentially all airborne pathogens/particles.

Low air quality days lately made me realize that there are nice unintended benefits of those systems...makes me wonder about my home though.

This maybe a little late since the air is supposed to start improving tomorrow. However these fires aren't going out until winter so...

You know, when I was selling rainbows, they were advertising themselves as an air purifying system above all else. Maybe they will come back into fashion. :notsure:

That's a nice thought but I've never seen a box fan that would move air thru those let alone just move air.

I've got two (box fans) in my apartment set up pointing juiuussssttttt the right way to work with the two ac units to move quite a bit of air. Place is a comfy 72 and my electric really doesn't go much higher in the summer.
