Anybody interested in this skid plate. Pretty sure it’s made out of 3/16” steel. It’s made for 6 inch lifted Tacomas, 4Runners and Tundras but can be modified to make it fit for stock and 3 inch lifted applications. I’m asking $50. I’m located near Moscow, Ohio but willing to meet within reason.

Sure is. That Body armor is $855 vs $1120 for the SSO. I think I may be with you if it was $500 vs $2k.

That’s true. When I was looking they didn’t have the option to build your own.

i also don’t think they had of their slim lines in stock when I needed it so I just kinda wrote them off for the time being.

can you confirm they’re made in the US? I’ve not seen anything about it on their website.

I knew I had seen it before and it took me a min to find it but at the bottom of the listing it says "Hand welded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA." I don't know about if it's US steel or not. I don't see that anywhere.

Considering doing my frame with fluid film....does anyone sell it local or just grab it online?

Also has anyone in the area ever teamed up and bought it in bulk (1 or 5 gal) and split it?

Fluid film is a great idea
But if you plan to prep the existing areas that have rust
Might as well just hit the frame with steel-it black

Weather app says air quality is at 185 in Columbus right now. It’s Smokey as hell everywhere.

in my experience steel it doesn't hold up to winter weather abuse, maybe it will with a film product.... but not by itself

I always apply a coating, let it dry, and then apply another coat onto. That seems to do the trick for me but I hear you

Only have 600 miles on it so nothing really there. Just a couple specs in some welds.
    Have you coated yours?

    Just steel it
I don’t like the fluid film stains on my driveway
