KATZKIN LEATHER for your Tacoma

Hey guys does anybody know what color closely matches the TRD red color? Looks like the 2 options would be Salsa or Maraschino. Any knowledge from John or anyone would be helpful. Thanks!

The leather itself. I have a couple of red TRD bits inside the truck and would be cool if color matched as closely as possible. Just wasn't sure if I should go with salsa or maraschino but will go with red. Thanks John!

 

Hey! How about Barcelona red? And can I install the switches for the heated/cooled seats on my dash?

 

I have a Barcelona red truck and I was able to install black Katzkin seats covers with red stitching. My opinion is that the red matches fairly well.




As for the seat heaters, here’s where my switches are. It’s maybe not quite as good as up on the dash like the OEM switches, but it works.

Installed these this weekend. Cardinal is a very close match to the stock SR5 accents.

 

What is the typical wait time once order is placed?

If I already have leather seats in my Tacoma, will covers keep my own seats from wear? My driver's seat is showing wear from getting in/out with only 15k miles on it

 

I doubt it. I'm guessing that the wear is probably from as you get in the seat you're compressing the bolster foam which causes the leather to deform and wrinkle and after a while it just wears the leather out. I had happen to my seat. If that's what's going on a seat cover won't do anything to prevent that. You can see if you can modify the way you get in and out of your truck to minimize dragging your leg/butt across the edge of the seat cushion. Just my opinion and experience with the issue. You could ask @jhuey8947.

Anyone with the DEGREEZ kit on theirs care to provide feedback? I'm in Texas and very interested in the cooling/vented option. I assume it's just a fan pulling cabin air into the seats? Is the fan loud? Just curious on the extra cost and install effort and whether it's worth it.

 

Hello! Just stumbled upon this thread as ive been looking for seat covers. Not sure if its still as active as it once was. Was looking for pricing on a 2 colored cover.
