Yea I haven’t really had a chance lately. I’m thinking about getting a beater daily since it’s silly to drive this thing everyday. The mpg is not much better than the Land Cruiser.

Should be way better gas mileage.

Remember I had a Taco and 4R too.

Yeah the cruiser consistently gets 13.5mpg no matter how i drive and the taco always was 18 or higher. Hell even with the aftermarket computer, 35" tires, and a turbo I can get 17.8 on the highway still

Need to remind myself to remove the Slee bumpstop extensions.

They were limiting my uptravel quite a bit, especially when I'd droop on the other side.

Yep, way too true but I've averaged 12-13 so safe to say 12.5 for me.

The 4R went back up to about 18 after pulling off anything on the roof; that shit kills your mpgs.

Well the range is just as bad with that puny 15 gallon fuel tank. I also expected a bit better than 17-18 mog after fixing the knock sensors, but I guess the lift and sliders must be affecting it.

They only have a max of around 18ish when they're healthy, you might get 20s on the highway but certainly not in combined driving.

Yep, and 5+mpg over the Land Cruiser is a big step up.

If you're at 17-18, then you are where you need to be. Sliders ain't hurting you...it'd be the equivalent of having half a person in your truck with you.

Yeah, honestly the biggest things that change MPG a ton are gears and speed. Bad gearing means harder starts which is way worse around town MPG, and more speed means more aero dynamic issues. But even so I can clear 16.8mpg at 75mph with a bumper, sliders, and big tires. So learning to just not lean on the pedal helps too.

Yeah I found the Taco being really forgiving.

It's Ryan who I felt bad for with a blower, roof top tent and everything. It's as bad as the LC.

Good thing he's got that 4R now.

Miguel getting way better gas mileage than all the rest of us though, think he's been on the same tank of fuel for 2 years now in his Taco.

The blower without a Haltech is a fueling nightmare. Rather just have a stock truck, and putting shit on your roof is just dumb.

Don't let the overlander bros on mud hear you.

Gotta have that $1500 roof rack just to hang out with them over there.

I had heard of some people getting 20-22 mpg from their 3.4, but that must be in stock tires, or up at elevation maybe.
