IMG_2351.jpg IMG_2351.jpg So it’s the last Taco Tuesday of the second quarter and I did a thing…..I bought the one on the left. Mine (one the right) is a 2016 with 130k miles on it, I bought the 2020 with 44k miles on it CPO. I love mine, but wanted a newer access cab (now that they are going away) and a 6MT - I bought the same color and since I now own both, my plan is to swap my aftermarket goodies over to the new one and sell the old one stock’ish to carmax. If you have an uncut mgm bumper, or some stock wheels, HMU, trying to decide what’s cheaper to sell as is v going back to stock. Curious to hear from anyone with a similar story.

Timeline for selling? I'll have some stuck wheels with spent but legal rubber in August. :spy:

My only timeline is how long the wife can put up with 2 Tacomas in the driveway. I’ve seen a few sets on FB marketplace, and those may work out. So far the only thing my search has determined is that I sold mine too cheap - lol.

    So this Mazda.

After water pump and water temp sensor, crank no start. 9 hours of troubleshooting later, I've got every sensor, fuse, and relay in the vehicle bench tested good, live data during cranking from the ODB, PCM backprobed and scoped, verified spark on all 6 brand new plugs which are wet after cranking...

And some old ass wizard is like... "You said your plugs are wet but did you see if the 'gas' burns?"

    Fuckin...

No, sure enough, it doesn't burn even with a Bic.

I drop the fuel line at the tank and jump the fuel pump and what comes out is almost 12 gallons of what only vaguely smells like dinosaur squeezings. It's gasoline flavored LaCroix.

The truck sat a few days before the person driving it could get it to me, and in that time, someone (friend suspects the crackheads across the street) stole a full tank of gas and replaced it with water.

So today I'm putting in 5 gallons of gas, a bottle of HEET, and dropping the plugs so I can crank it a bunch and clear out the fuel rails, and definitely change the filter.

 I have about, ballpark, 10-15k in life on these tires, I want to use them for North Maine Woods and then replace them, so mid August they're coming off (I'd take care of plugs if any are needed).

I looked it up last night after he posted. Freedlyville Quarry = Dorset Caves, same thing.

As of about May it was still blocked off to vehicles. A local 4x4 club/group was working with the town to open it up, but to what level (pay to play, gotta be with a group member, whatever) I have NO idea. And to what level of success they've had on that front, also no idea.

It's open for walking, but not driving. Which is hilarious, because it has a 1 star review for being icy, in VT, in February.

I mean…. There are a lot of things that are stock ‘possible’, just depends on how liberal you are with the skinny pedal and also your appetite for trail damage.

Being The Guy With The Truck is fun.

Same family with the dumb kid I had to pull out a few times had a bull go psycho last night and fuck a couple people up. They had to do the needful, and I'm the guy with the winch to get it up onto a trailer to take to the butcher.
