My only gripe is how the awful front end looks on all the trims other than Pro and Trailhunter. There's way too many things going on.

That air dam seems twice a big as the third gen one

It's too polarizing- like they're trying too hard. I don't understand why can't Toyota design a tasteful-looking functional truck and let its engineering speak for it like a classic 4-Runner or Land-Cruiser?

I don't see it this way. It's good looking truck. I want a 2024 Xtra cab.

The done-up ones with red interiors and all the add-ons never appeal to me. If I could get one that was even more basic inside with a vinyl floor and front bench seat like a F-150 XL, that would be perfect.

I never thought I would sell my SR 2.7L/4x4 but I love the look of this (I still have the air dam on mine but this would have to go).

Has there been a determination of whether you can get the SR/4x4 with a 6-speed stick and long bed, either in Xtracab or Crew Cab? I am still really happy with mine aside from the transmission and a 6-speed with some torque would be pretty fun to have.

They shrunk the grill back to the 2nd gen looks, but that just makes the air-dam look twice as big.

    People don't like that.

I am surprised how low the entire front end is. If you look at the pic of the Limited above, the bumper comes to where the bottom of the air dam is on my stock SR (about level with the middle of the hub).

People ...People....People.... enough with the complaining about the giant LCD's, the hard edged exterior, the unnecessary bells, whistles and gimmicks, and the busy interior.

    Just get the Frontier already.

Aside from the Jeep, its as old school as your going to get.

PS: Frontier seems like a decent truck to me.

Yup, so even if you remove the air dam, you still have big chin.

2021 and just clicked 40k on the odo. Love my Tacoma! The 24 does nothing for me. Sure, it has a lot of updates but, what has me worried is that 4cyl turbo. Would like to see the actual performance numbers.

Looking to buy a betamax and a pair of google glasses.

Btw that center screen looks atrocious. Air dam is lovely also.

I understand the big screen deal is the way of the world now, just find a way to integrate it is all. The way it's done in this and the tundra is not tasteful at all. At least do something like ram did and have it as part of the dash. I was thinking the base trap would be integrated in the 24' but even it isn't part of the dash and sticks out.

Yes, I'll be looking forward to taking a look at the 2024 Toyota Stout? A girl buddy of my wife was just showing off her Santa Fe. My wife likes it, doesn't do much for me.

Yeah, there's too much going on with the body lines, especially on the front end, and it's even worse with the hood scoop. They could have smoothed out 50% of these angles and I think it would look better.

I dont think the Pre-Runner will have MT, just the SR Double Cab and the Sport and Off Road.

Perhaps the next 4Runner will get clamshell reardoors like the FJ. MT seems to think the 4R will be on the 4G Tacoma platform and styled like the FJ cruiser and only offer two rows.

I don't know why Toyota would want to design a vehicle based on the one they discontinued 8 years ago when they introduced the 3rd gen Tacoma.
