TRD Pro Grill Install Question

Hello all. On what part of the TRD Pro Garnish do these little Star washers go?

Do they go on the opposite side of the grill from the garnish like a nut on a screw, or, do they go on the round posts and fold into the holes? Probably a stupid question but there are no instructions and I don’t want to mess this up.

right after you insert the garnish from the front. TIP: use a socket to help push the star washers all the way

 

Used needle nose pliers to pry open the teeth and then a 10mm socket to force it down around the pole. Hope this helps anyone else who isn’t sure what to do for this step
