My truck (2011 V6, manual, 156,000 miles) is stalling at stop lights and when in neutral. What is the fix for this? Thanks.

That's been on for 1000 miles. Oli change was supposed to be at 155,000 miles. I don't think that's the issue.

Have it scanned for codes. Possibly clean the throttle body with that kind of milage.

My mechanic scanned it. Eighteen codes! Throttle body was one. Going to get an estimate for repairs next week.

Since the throttle body is bad, are there any aftermarket performance replacements?

    18 codes?
Are you sure the throttle body is bad?
Did your mechanic diagnose the truck, or just scan it?

There aren’t many many codes that are set that can “only” be caused by one bad part.
I can’t say I’d be comfortable throwing a throttle body on it at this point.
Not with it throwing 18 codes. But I don’t do this stuff everyday. I like to know, not guess.

Scanning codes isn't the same as a diagnosis. It's a little early to start planning what parts to buy

Thanks for the info. I guess I have to get it fully diagnosed.

    I have to ask.

Did your mechanic suggest replacing the throttle body?
Or is it an assumption you made since one of the codes was for the throttle body?

    There is no wrong answer.
I’m just curious if it was you, or your mechanic, that brought up replacing the throttle body.

That many codes is usually an indicator of a bad fuse somewhere. But, a bad fuse isn't likely going to be the sole reason for your symptoms. I second the suggestions about cleaning sensors and maybe even the throttle body if you're not going to just replace it.

Ok. I’d maybe let your mechanic diagnose it first. No need to order parts until you know for sure what you need.

Good luck. Should you need any more help, feel free to ask. We are here to help.

Start with cleaning the throttle body. At idle is has to let a small amount of air by and if dirty it can restrict it causing the stumbling or stalling.

I recently posted on a different thread.
Clean air, fuel and spark make your vehicle run smooth.
Sounds like your engine is suffocating.
Whenever codes get thrown or I make any performance changes. My 1st rule of order is resetting ecu so truck can relearn from what is and not from what was. If that makes sense.
Clean. Reset. And start over. See what codes come back.
Also I disconnect and hold both terminals together for 15min.
