You got more than one and they will be along shortly. Nothing like home grown tomatoes.

 

How many people do you can for, if I may ask? I love green beans, but that's a lot! Stringing them and cutting ends off will take a lot of time.

 

What are you? The fucking Green Giant? Jesus my man, that is alot of damn beans. Good thing you like them so much. Holy crap.

 

Pretty much more beans than the Law would allow right there. Some places have catch ‘n release laws.

It does take some time and effort. 4 of us and a few gives aways to extended family can go through 100 quarts in a year. Looks like may make some cantaloupes too.

 

That was the first one I've seen so far. Looking closer while I was watering them this morning, there are some more on the Sun Sugar plant and there's one coming along on the Big Boy.

And I don't even like tomatoes. I'll still try them but me and the acidity don't get along.

Cherokee purple and yellow tomatoes are lower in acid. That's what we grow.
Homemade salsa and pasta sauce from Cherokee purples are to die for.

 

This is what we use to process tomatoes, make apple and pear sauces, seedless jellies, just replace screens and impeller with different sizes for different purposes..

...^^^... Clear fishing line keeps birds out ... either string it or dangle it ... it really worked for me with Canadian geese on my last house that was on a lake.

 

8 more gallons of beans yesterday and will add that to the 102 quarts she's already canned. Anything after that someone else can come pick. Okra fixing to bust loose, some small pods formed. Lots of green tomatoes but not ripe yet. Zuch and yellow squash coming in strong. Corn 7' tasseled, ears formed and silking. Peppers producing, cantaloupe growing. Sunflowers head high. Blueberries still. Think that's about everything.

Anyone know what this squash is? Was supposed to be Cushaw but its different.

it got the shape but not the grooves. We dont know what it is.
