All you'll have is an expensive built whistle, or a paper weight. Nothing to be gained unless mixing fuel particles with air at the same time when it passes through these spacers, like when you have a throttle body injection unit on the top of an intake manifold. In fact these 3.5 direct injection engines have a pretty darn good intake already.

All in all, still going to order it. I've had them on several past vehicles and have my own opinion about them.

Agreed. People always say they are pointless. I’ve had them on almost every FI vehicle I’ve ever owned. Weather they do anything or not, for $100 who cares. I think they work, so I’ll keep running one.

Y'all want real gains from a throttle body spacer? Get a 65mm to 70 or 76mm adapter for a larger TB. Port and polish it and yes, you'll have real gains.

Yes, it works, especially in conjunction with other performance mods.

Sorry for lack of updates, I almost forgot about this post all together. Lol.

As for updates… it’s been a while now, about 10k miles since I installed the spacer. Things are still good with no issues to report. I’ve been doing a lot of hauling, practically every weekend hauling the pontoon to the lake. Boat weighs about 3500 pounds with trailer. On the hills, you definitely hear the whistle of the spacer. Throttle response is still improved. Seems like the fule economy has also increased… but not by much. I’m looking at maybe a 1.5-3 mile per gallon increase… depending on how I’m driving (heavy on the pedal), and environmental conditions.

So… would I buy it again or recommend someone else to buy it? Yes, no questions. For the few dollars it cost, and the fact that I definitely feel a difference, as well as save a tiny bit of fuel… I mean, why wouldn’t you??

Documented what gains? The minute MPG gains??

Dyno would document RPM, HP and TQ. Not MPG.

minute gains? 1.5-3 mpg's you are claiming are 10-15% increase in fuel economy. that isnt minute. I think he is looking for more documentation, on how you came to those numbers. Ski

Can’t really say I have any documentation on this… didn’t exactly do a scientific research study on it. Lol! But I can tell you that I have a pretty routine life and routine things I do with my truck. That said, I started out getting between 17 and 18.5 MPG. Which I always thought was pretty decent. Over the past X amount of miles, my truck seems to be bouncing more around the 18 to 20 MPG range. Again, no science here… just simple numbers, from a simple guy, with simply $100 and simple hand tools.
