    Elaborate.

Not at all offended by the comparison. But with Serenbe almost in my backyard I’m unclear on the correlation.

"1,000-acre community in the city of Chattahoochee Hills, which is 30 miles southwest of Atlanta, Georgia. In Serenbe, there are dense, walkable clusters of homes, shops, and businesses, even artists’ studios, modeled like English villages set within 40,000 acres of forest you helped protect. "

Have you been to the "gated" community there?
Idea is, its tech hub. They want a little atlanta outside the atlanta.

    Is that Wikipedia copy/paste?

I guess my confusion of the correlation is that to my knowledge the area that Serenbe occupies was fully private prior to the ‘urban village’ and never available for public use as was the leased Pine Log WMA. Currently the green space/trails within Serenbe are open for public use. Sure you can’t hunt or fish, but again to my knowledge, you never could.

I have no personal attachment to Serenbe, but yes I have been there. Quite frequently actually. I’ve run several trail races there and ride bikes in Chattahoochee hills almost weekly.

Not really understanding how you came to this conclusion.

A family allowed their land to be used as public land for ~50 years. That was more than many people do.

Now they want to sell which is well within their right.

To say that any of us would do differently if we stood to completely take care of our family and extended family for generations to come is absurd in my opinion.

If you owned a rental property with tenants and you had several offers for above the appraised value, the smart thing would be to allow the tenants to leave once their lease was up.

Purely my opinion, just as you have yours.

    Edit:
The greed portion is my opinion. Not sure how you don’t understand the capitalism part.

What’s some good outdoor equipment shops y’all like? Preferably near Hall/Jackson Co. Eventually I want to get a much better lawn mower, but I don’t really wanna go to Home Depot or Lowe’s and get a rebranded MTD.

Would also consider used, which is another reason I would like a specialty shop, in case they sell good refurbs, trades, etc.

Or if any of y’all have downsized yard-wise, let me know.

As someone who has lived only a few miles from there for 10yrs and ridden the gravel roads for training in the winter along with bunches of not so obvious “got to know someone to find it” singletrack on many weekday evenings I’m sad to have lost the access I enjoyed. I do however repect the change the owners decided to make and likely would have have defaulted to not being as gracious with the property as they have been had I been in their position.

What day are you thinking about doing this?

I'm thinking about Saturday, July 1, to install my extended rear shock mounts.

Does anyone know if any dealerships offer a trade-up program for wheels? Or if anyone is looking to trade some 17 inch wheels for 2021 TRD Sport 17 inch stocks? (Selling the truck, reverting to stock, etc.) I already have tires, so I am only in need of wheels. I've been looking at the SEMA 4runner ones, but am open to all styles. Thanks!

    Check Out My Builds
As of right now I can’t think of anything I’m doing July 1st. I’d have to double check, but this could be a possibility. My buddies birthday is July 4th and idk if it’s before or after the 4th we are doing something.

So possibly whichever weekend we aren’t doing something I should be good. 1st or 8th

Craigslist FTW! Older couple had their ‘15 get totaled so they ordered a ‘23 from Stone Mtn Toyota. Sales person says “oh your topper will fit your ‘23 cause it’s a 5’ bed.” Couple took their topper to a body shop, had it painted 1G3 to match their upcoming purchase only to find out it’s 2” too short. I really feel so bad for them, but we talked quite a bit about traveling, Toyotas, Tacomas, etc. Great couple who actually gave it a “last look” before the folks at Leer in Lilburn put it on my truck (where he had it stored). Has the sliding/drop-down front window. Only needs new shocks and me to wire it up. Gonna look into carpeting and a rack of some sorts. $2500

Sorry about the confusion, I was super tired and worded that poorly haha

I am looking to trade my stock wheels for somebody’s aftermarket wheels. I figured lots of people revert back to stock before selling, so wanted to put that out there and see if I would get any bites.

I'm (hopefully) upgrading my boat from 1100# with trailer to 3000# with trailer. I had a Stoptech 6-piston brake kit installed today to ensure safe pulls (and stops). Now to clean these messy wheels.

Does this group have any connections to CVT, ORCA, or GCI (all owned under GATHR branding)?

I saw a silver Taco with a similar setup yesterday evening at Slope's BBQ in Alpharetta. Didn't get a pic.

On occasion I see a grey 2nd gen at the stop light turning towards the brewery on 29 in Athens first thing in the morning like around 7:20 in my way to work. It has a camper shell, front and rear bumpers. Looks really good. Is that anyone on here?
