I did the same with my grom. Came with a full Yosh RS9 exhaust... was way too loud sold it and went back to stock and have kept it that way even through the big bore kit build (with a bigger header).

I will most likely put the stock grom exhaust back on when I install the high compression piston and cam next week.

I will say at least on the OG grom, the stock header was VERY restrictive once the bbk went into place so I had to go with an aftermarket header (DG) which was a bigger ID and catless.

It was a learning process for sure. Realistically it wasnt too much work or funds. BBK, Head, header, cam and supporting mods.

Just did a 2-day ChampSchool at The Ridge in WA. What a blast! If you ever get the chance, do it! I learned a ton and lots of improvement in two days.

I think im going to get a chest protector. Just one thing that bothers me, is the armpit area. I need to see how it is when I'm riding

Dang we got some young ones here. That’s all right, too!

I got my motorcycle license in my early 20’s, back in the early nineties. Was a written test with multiple guess answers. Then a riding test (all at the DMV). I happened to do it at the end of the day on a Saturday. After I passed the multiple guess test, the lady asked if I was coming back on monday for the riders test. My reply was, no, now with 10 min. Till closing. The lady behind the counter didn’t look to happy with that. and told me to get the bike and meet her around back of the building. A quick listen on what she wanted me to do in the parking lot. Do it, Blammo! Hands me my new drivers license with the added M device. The chick had someone inside make it up while I did the riding exam. I think they wanted to get off work on time.

I’ve been jacking up people and traffic since.

During COVID I was able to take the MSF course and get my endorsement without ever setting foot in the vehicle registry. Easy peasy. Scanned my certificate, sent it in online with the fee and application. Done. Best experience I’ve ever had with any registry.
