My apologies to any Women in this thread.

This was some nice I candy at a stoplight a few ago. It was good seeing an female rider out there, and the wife beater definitely enhanced. buuuutt come on, wear the gear already. And sandals at that.

While very nice looking. I had to give her a thumbs down, for no gear.

No way those bikes are worth that. 3K is top dollar in my opinion.

I have always been ATGATT. Even in the depths of summer, when it's roasting hot and humid out, and the Flying Brick is pumping off heat waves like an open blast furnace.

A cousin of mine, HD rider, dumped his bike when a car pulled out in front of him. He ended up with a hardware store's worth of screws, pins and plates in his feet. It took a little over a year for him to be able to walk more-or-less normally, and to this day he can't stand barefoot on concrete (apparently concrete is cold and it seeps in quickly/painfully). Screwed up his back, permanently, too. It was a very stark lesson in, "dress for the slide, not for the ride."

Same! I'd rather sweat than bleed, I say. Even in triple digit weather I'm rocking the Aerostich.

I've been riding to one of my jobs without my airbag vest at times and even that makes me feel guilty. I'll probably start wearing that too.

When riding the grom or monkey it’s hiking boots, jeans, gloves , helmet and a hoodie. Not a lot of protection. The R3 gets full leathers.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Thanks for letting us know. I am looking at one of these and a XXL is the way I am going. I am 6’3 265lb with a 52” chest, so the XXL is the only way I can go. My hope is it won’t be too tight with my armor. The KLIM jackets are just too heavy for me in this weather. The KLIM Marrakesh is on my list as well.

I think it might not be an everyday riding jacket either. Possibly though. I havent gone for a ride yet with it.. just worn around the house.

And at $450, for an auxiliary jacket, its at a high point for me. Even $300 is high lol. But beats gaining water weight if I get caught in rain.

We will see. Need some more time

I have an assortment of brands. But, I don't particularly care about everything matching. My wife initially thought I was crazy to go on a ride in 90 degree weather, 90% humidity, dolled up in armored+kevlar jeans, armored jacket, armored gloves, armored boots, etc. "Won't you get hot?" Yeah, but it's easy to stop at some rural ice cream shop somewhere and cool off. Maybe several rural ice cream shops. :D

Last summer I went on a ride with my wife on the back and she was pouring sweat through all her (full) gear and she was like "How do you do this every day?!". :D

I will admit commuting to work when it's hot out I forgo proper riding pants and ride in jeans. I do that also on local trips but on any sort of distance ride I'm full gear. I received a Buff neck gaiter as a Christmas gift and have recently started trying that out. Found on my last Iron Butt ride 2 weeks ago it definitely helped alleviate some irritation from my jacket collar around my neck and when it got hot out and I soaked the neck gaiter in cool water at a fuel stop it definitely helped cool me off as it evaporated.

Yeah I get laughed at in my full dianese race suit I wear on the sport bike. Yes it’s the middle of the summer and yes I have slid across the road at more than 60mph, on multiple occasions.
I get being hot as a mutha get old, but then again so does not having skin.

Mostly, I ride with my full armor under a light weight jacket, and it works best for me. One of my jackets I can remove the sleeves and still have armor on my forearms, elbows and shoulders.

My KLIM jackets have become a bit cumbersome with my riding style. Just so much material. The weight I can deal with, but even that gets old when your sweating your balls off in the backcountry.

I got the Fortnine neck gaiter and I love it. It's so thin and stretchy so my tight helmet doesn't feel even tighter, but keeps the wind off my neck and prevents my collar from itching at me.

Unfortunately they sold out and haven't restocked since.

Sweating is so worth it to save your skin. It's hard enough dealing with broken bones I couldn't imagine having road rash on top of that.

Perforated gear helps a lot with airflow, and honestly you stay cooler keeping your skin out of the sun. My new leather jacket is awesome, light and very comfortable with the rideknit material.
