I didn't know that was an option, I'll have to look into that. Mine is set up to take care of my sibling, maybe give them an opportunity to pursue their dream

Our life insurance is kinda shit if you don't pay into the higher option. My parents have the option to take it first, no siblings and my extended family would be irresponsible with it. So your fallback can be a charity, or more specifically a chosen representative for said charity.

@Abeyancer what kind of hour meters do you use for your equipment?

I need to do something like this for the T4R, but probably slimmer profile so Dex isn't up against the roof when he's in the back

Weird amp location, but I'd like a drawer set like that

Lot more roof in the LC, I was just thinking if that Mini Aussie works out this might be a good place for a dog bed on top

yeah the drawers wouldn't have to be very tall at all, pretty slim just to fit loose odds and ends that end up taking a good bit of space up in the back when trying to stack shit but leaving enough room for him.

basic tool kit, jumper cables, 1st aid kit, spare fluids for the truck, stuff like that.

Speaking of Dex I need to get him to a groomer that can do his claws, I've tried a few times but he is not having it. We got one of those little mini grinders for large dog claws and he's terrified of the thing.

First he just kind of nips at my hand which I figure I can deal with if it means I get his claws done, then he looks me in the eye and starts growling while baring his teeth...at that point it's 'nope, this shit is gonna be left to the pros' time. I don't need a 320+ psi dog bite injury in my life

I'll let someone else sedate him and take that risk lol

huh apparently huskies have a stronger bite force than pit bulls, 235 vs 320 psi. That's kinda cool and terrifying

Same but it was his idea.

Not sure if you saw the old post but this was his initial inquiry.

"I want an amp mounted to my 3rd row seat mounting"

Here he just sat it on top of the 3rd row mount -

    received_622387119861554.jpg

He was applying sound deadening all over and wanted to keep the clean look of keeping his interior panels intact.

What you don't see are the four crossovers on the backside of that panel.

Here's the skeleton the MDF attaches to -

And the mounts I cut out and tacked to 1/2" steel rod I bent -

And a customer pic during his install and wiring -

Nail clippers; grinders are far scarier to dogs if they weren't accustomed to it as a puppy with the noise and all.

Points for creativity, I've seen uch more stupid shit mounted to those. There's a ton of awesome space behind the rear panels in the cargo area so I just made brackets to put my amps back there

I looked at clippers but at the time thought the grinder seemed safer...his claws are thicc

but yeah it's probably worth a try now that I know he wants nothing to do with the grinder. It's not even really loud, it's quieter than an electric toothbrush....but as far as he's concerned it's a lethal weapon lol.

Just looked up large dog clippers, damn those things look like garden shears haha. Compared to the ones we use on our cats

or cat, I should say. One of our cats literally has to be sedated into sleep to do his nails, he will cut your throat

We've got like 2 extra sets; I'll give you a set next time around after you get him groomed.

Bronx nails are crazy thick and they work well.

Yea the Tacoma is proving impractical in this regard. Sometimes I just want another Forester. Land Cruisers don’t seem worth the trouble anymore with kind of drugmoney people are asking for them.
