It's less Tacoma and more mod
Build a platform in the back of the taco, no one sits in the extracab portions anyway. I wouldnt make a dog sit in the front seat, theres no room to lay down and standing puts them close to the roof.

Mine's the cheapest you'll find with a clean title and clean frame and decent interior :burp:

Yeah I really like what Dan did in the back of his, generally speaking. Good use of unused space.

I don’t really like having the dogs back there on the highway but it’s a possibility

Anyway once we move back down to Fayetteville I can bike to work most days so I don’t need to worry about gas and down time as much.

Any common issues on 1st Gen Seqouias y’all know about? I’m in the market for one, they seem to go a lot cheaper than the Tundras.

Depending on what you want it to do.. if you just want an hour meter we use the mechanical trumeter hourmeter, clicks whenever it has 12v applied to it.

Otherwise we use the brand tiny tach for an hourmeter/tachometer combo

On the T4R fb page I follow, people love those things. Anytime someone needs more room they seem to grab a 1st gen Sequoia. It's got the reliable v8. Apparently has the same LBJ issues. Horrible MPGs but that's pretty much a Toyota truck/SUV characteristic of the time

Oh the trumeter looks perfect! A lil fuse tap and some zip ties and I'll be set. I just need something simple to track how often I change my LPG filter and they recommend 2000 hour intervals. Thanks :D

Yea ball joints and also a horrible starter location and cracked exhaust manifolds on the 4.7

Oh yeah that'll work perfectly for that. You could use it for engine oil changes as well since mileage doesn't really matter on a crawler. Industrial diesel engines have filter and fluid changes every 500 hours. Small air cooled engines recommend between 50 and 250hrs depending on manufacturer.

    I'd think a 300hr service life would be good for a 22r

Good info, thanks. I need something that can tow and has a lot of interior space, wouldn’t want a suburban or something else domestic so that leaves the Seqouia.

yeah they seem to be just as reliable as any Tacoma, 4runner, Tundra...I mean they are pretty much to the Tundra what the 4runner is to the Tacoma of the time. And they don't seem to be as crazy priced as the Taco/T4R in the used market.

If you're looking at new ones though....$$$$$$
