Got some laps on it, you're dead on with those thoughts. I left the Kryp Fr on the front for now. Conditions are on the dry side but not quite blown out yet. The Xynotal reminds me a lot of a Dissector but with a better side knob. The lesser rolling resistance was immediately noticeable compared to the Kryp re I had on before. I don't think the Kryp re is a particularly slow rolling tire, you just feel it clawing in a bit more where the Xynotal just floats along. My buddy always says the Kryp re is throwing debris at him when he follows me and it was less here. Climbing and Braking traction are both half a notch below the Kryp Re but still very good. I did notice that it has a bit more tendency to drift when transitioning into a corner thus especially if you're feathering the brake. It doesn't step out unexpectedly there's just a little more surf if you're throwing the rear around aggressively. The side knobs are identical as far as I can tell and once you're on them it's hooked.

Overall I think it's a great summer rear tire, the fast rolling is very appreciated. I don't think I'd run it on the front vs. the Kryps for my trails due to the mentioned driftyness but if you're riding mainly hardpack it could work. I will definitely be keeping this on for dry conditions and saving the Kryp re for when I need a bit more bite.

Yes it does. Just lock out your rear suspension. The bike we did it to was a full squish. A flip of the lever is all you need to do.

You can tell how quick that happened too cuz his hands are still in position, but his eyes look freshly closed and they're halfway to the ground.

It works better than walking! Leave a little slack in the chain and lock the rear shock. My buddy rode porcupine rim on a SS Firebird.

Man, you just descibed my experience with my current Ground Control rear in this Dry/ Loose Cali dirt. The Eliminator upfront would ever so slightly slip, before catching the side knobs, and grip. Awesome feeling, just like I've read it be described as in reviews. I'm gonna move the Eliminator out back, and pick up another Eliminator or Butcher for the front. Keep the GC for hardpack trails I guess.
Not sure how much speed from "rolling resistance" I'll be loosing, but keeping more speed/ confidence thru corners is NOICE.

Added a hitch to my swingout for my new rack. I'm not quite ready to chop up the rack to bring it in closer and/or lower though...

Any of you guys running Ketl shorts? I currently run Fox Ranger shorts but on hot, steamy days they don’t breathe well. The Fox Flexair shorts are f-in pricey, so I’m looking elsewhere. Are the Ketl shorts a good option?
