I doubt the dealership does a whole lot of investigating into your ECU on oil changes and tire rotations. Now if you drop a cylinder in your engine and take it in for warranty work, that is a different story.

Allpro standard leaf packs, 5160's, U bolt flip kit with wheelers super bump's, extended stainless steel brake lines, carrier bearing drop. Icon rebounds 17" with Nitto terra grappler G2's 285/70/17's.
"THIS is true". I've owned both myself, both MT's, to make it an equal comparison. Better not sell the 3rd gen short.

Greatly illustrates what I've said for years. The 2nd gen will beat the 3rd gen off the line, but the 3rd gen will outperform the 2nd gen at speed. Just the difference in peak torque bands.

My 3.5L hauls ass and gets better than 20mpg….

    …with a 6 speed manual.

could use some low end grunt though….I use 4Low to pull my boat outta the water so I don’t have to slip the shit outta the clutch.

my old X-runner with a 4.0 was much better in this regard.

There is plenty of power from 4000 to 6000 rpm, when I merge on the highway I use S mode and put it up into the power band and it moves along just fine.
I think a lot of people are afraid to push the gas pedal when needed. If you installed a pedal commander the same owners would think it has power.

Underpowered (220 hp where I live) and undergeared. I have 4.88s and KDMax and can hardly stand it. Can’t wait for the 4th gen. Turbos and hybrids are far superior at altitude.

There’s always the ranger or the Colorado, might be more suited for some people.

Every gen has been heavier than the last. All horsepower improvements have done nothing for speed

A tune absolutely will void your warranty if Toyota wants to. You modified the Toyota designed operating parameters of the engine and if the engine fails Toyota can easily and legally use that to decline warranty coverage. Your free oil changes and tire rotations are not part of the warranty and an entirely separate matter.

You haven’t sold your truck yet? No shame in it if you’re that unhappy.

Whatever it takes to distract me from the fact that my white trash neighbors are shooting guns at 8:54 p.m.

    I seriously don't!

I love the fact that I live in a place where I hear gunfire regularly and I know it's just target practice.

But, for fuck's sake, you had all fucking day and now you're going to shoot at night when I'm trying to enjoy the goddamn peace and quiet???

I am not so unhappy as to go without a truck. I am dumping it once I can get a fourth gen, like I said.
