Most times I add a universal hanger just behind the rear O2 sensor .

Then behind the Muffler and close to the end of the tail pipe.

Went with the Walker, it came with hanger brackets welded to the muffler and tailpipe. Sturdy AF once the intermediate pipe was clamped on the muffler. Walker quality is nowhere near OEM but at least my truck doesn’t sound like a Dyson vacuum cleaner anymore.

I just installed that exact system yesterday. Sounds good, inexpensive enough to replace every few years. I might weld the joint at muffler, it wispers there

How did your flanges fit together? I used the Walker 31585 flange gasket and it seemed a little large. I cranked it down with an impact gun and it isn’t leaking but I could see how it might. I used the impact on the muffler clamp and that’s sealed good too.

There are different gaskets at different places .

What joint was that I could go look but 31374 comes to mind correct 2 1/4" diameter

I think 31385 is the one that goes at the crossover pipe on the3.4 It is larger in diameter.2 3/8" diameter.

I think you’re right. The Walker website says 31585 but it’s definitely too big. I’ll try the 31374

Edit: I just fished the old one out of the trash, it’s 2-1/4”

I used a Yota gasket, cranked with impact. System fit great, mines the soundfx, little grumble to it. well under 200 bucks at Advanced, cant go wrong

Walker’s aluminized steel muffler and tailpipe was on Amazon for $50, I got the quiet flow stainless for $90 but I suspect the quality of the stainless isn’t that great. That said I could replace it 5 times before I approach the cost of Magnaflow. They were around $700 last I checked.

Web sites do make mistakes .

Then I seldom see the 4 cylinders.
