As much as I would have loved to help you cut your truck up and swap an FJ case in there, i am glad you got it fixed without having to butcher your baby. It's nice when it's a relatively easy and inexpensive fix, albeit a pain in the ass to diagnose.

Yeah but if you're going to do the transfer case swap, you might as well toss a crawl box in there and get the low lows. It's only a little bit of extra effort and like $2k more dollars.

    Save now. Plan ahead.

    Also, yes.

You're an auto right? I honestly in good conscience would never try to convince you of a crawl box over a rear locker. I could maybe make an argument of crawlbox first for a manual but I still think locker first.

it doesn't hurt. How do they hold up?

I'm looking at options for storing bigger and heavier parts like CVs/steering parts and the related hardware. Have had a couple different traditional truck box setups and they're alright but I'm not sure if I'm missing something better

They hold surprisingly well. I've never had one come un mounted and even the base plates haven't broke. The down side is the seem to be a quarter inch too small for everything!

It's faster than it should be but not going to impress anyone.

Archer got a trip to the CSU urgent care this morning. He's got the cone of shame. Biggest issue is not being able to negotiate the dog door.
