Custom Made UCA?

    Hello, So I'm in a position where I can get a Uni-ball UCA built for me at material cost. The guy wants to start making bolt on UCA's for 2nd gen Tacoma's. He has previously made bolt ons for 1st gen Tacoma's that look like the pictures below. So I'm curious, should I jump on it and become a tester for these new UCA's or not? Has anyone been in this sort of situation and are there any downsides/upsides to it? Let me know I would really like everyone's input on this.

    Worth giving it a shot. There are several UCA fabricators out there but, to my knowledge, only 1 making a boxed UCA. The boxed design is generally stronger than the more common tube design providing the welds are sound.

    If the guy gets the geometry right it could be a great deal for you!

    Yeah, this is what I'm stressing on. If its not built correctly will it make my alignment out of spec? I want to get them so I would be able to clear bigger tires and have my alignment be perfect.

    Worst case, if the alignment is too far out just swap your stock UCAs back on.

    Just cause I don't post up pics of me wheeling doesn't mean I don't.

    I'm not a big fan of staging my truck on the trail, getting out, taking photos, then getting back in and continuing the ride.

    I'd rather keep trucking on.

    Oh yeah... you might need a 2nd gen too.... ;)
