I have the same set up with the tool bars. Resting it on the cab guard will work for what I fold it back for; taking trash cans to the dump. I appreciate your feedback, the pics really helped. Thanks.

Tinkerer Designs. The patch in the center I got off of Etsy. It doesn’t quite fit so I put it under the ring.

Finally got around to installing the Pop-n-Lock tailgate lock. Easy install, hardest thing was installing the new clips in the tailgate and back of truck; not easy at all for someone with big fingers.

If you install some sound deadener, the locking/unlocking sound goes down to a reasonable level.

Yeah it wasn’t too bad but some stuff was a pain. Getting the clamps on properly, and removing the bed bolts for me since I stripped one. You see their folding cover?

Truck's Computer Estimate of Fuel Range

I was told that the system takes the most recent computed MPG, just before you shut it down to gas up at the station. Maybe your MPG at that time was all city and only 17.....or maybe a mix and was more toward 20. So sometimes your projected range on a full tank may be a lot more than at other times. It just depends on the average MPG when you topped off the tank. The projected estimate is only that. As your driving patterns change, viola, so will your overall average MPG. The truck may state your range is 300, but you actually can get 350, or vice versa. Make sense?

Theoretically it puts everything in the system at the same potential.
You could just wait for a few mins, and the capacitors will discharge by themselves.

Finally got rid of that air dam. I think it looks much better now.

Just for clarities sake; It uses your fuel economy average, not your last tank average.
That value is averaged over all of your driving since the battery was last disconnected or it was reset on the economy screen of the headunit
