My choice would be a pair of high quality polarized sunglasses. Will help no matter where you are looking.

It's that little bevel on the hood right before the windshield That I would need to cover.

Look at the link in post #21. That wrap goes up to the edge of the hood at the cowl. You don't want to do the whole hood?

The more I look at the less I like the full hood wrap.might just go with the oddball stripe. Seems more my style.

I'm just surprised the rest of the hood doesn't bother you. The worst glare I had was from the center portion where we put the stripes. The center portion was dealer ordered and on the truck when I bought it.

yea, but you can get exemptions for medical reasons like light sensitivity. and i highly doubt NY cops have the time to be pulling people over for tints these days.

I have a 2021 Sport and have never had an issue with glare off the hood or scoop. And I live in south Florida so it's certainly bright enough to have noticed it.

But are you 5' 3? I stood up in the seat a few inches and it didn't bother me.

I have the same color truck and never noticed glare unless shooting the lightbar on the roof rack.

With that said, I have gotten glare off the chrome inside the cab. I blacked out everything to help. Steering wheel is the worst culprit.

I can't actually see most of the center of the hood. So it's just that one angled piece that bothers me. Of course it spans the full width of the hood and the main roads I drive are east/west.

Unlike the OP, I'm 6'6", so I see all of the hood. Like the OP, my rush hour commute in Virginia is east / west, in that order. That hood, especially when clean, provides a large reflective area and plenty of glare. A clean window and good sunglasses aren't the answer for everyone.

Seeing your other post about your height helps understand the issue. While sunglasses are a good suggestion, visiting a local wrap shop might be your best bet. Seat jackers are a good suggestion, but they may put more of the hood in you view and increase your issue. That section of the hood shouldn't take a lot to do.

I did the about 6 years ago.

Never had a problem with the edge of the hood causing glare. The black vinyl contrast on the hood does help show exactly where the nose of the truck ends in bright, sunny conditions.

I was reading this to see if there were any other solutions to this besides what I figured was the answer of wrapping that curved edge of the hood by the windshield. I can also say polarized sunglasses are a mitigating factor but not a solution. I’m 6’ with laser corrected eyes and I wear expensive ass polarized sunglasses everywhere too…they just don’t cut it on certain days with the shape of the hood and being taller than 5’3 doesn’t either. Flat black wrap is the way to go and it pairs well with every color. That’s what I would/will do.
