That is a lot of miles for a 2019. Business owned also means it could have been driven by a number of different folks, and unfortunately a lot of people don't treat other people's property with the same attention and care as they would if it were their own. I'd pass on that one..

I wonder why they are getting rid of it? Why wouldn't they drive it into the ground?

I'm looking specifically for a white 3rd gen access cab 4x4 V6 SR5 or higher and that's just the one I was able to find for around 20k I'm shocked I haven't been able to find any I even went to my local Toyota dealer and they didn't have any or at their other stores

I personally just don't buy high mileage vehicles, and anything over 50k miles wouldn't even be a consideration to me. But thats just me. I know everyone is comfortable with diff things. I would keep looking

Don’t disagree about your point on the gear hunting, however I think the Tacoma stock rides better than a lot of other trucks, in my opinion. I guess most tacoma owners usually throw on better suspensions anyway.

As for OP, I wouldn’t touch that. Spending 20K on a truck with 200k miles? Just buy new. If you can’t afford it, I would steer clear from the Tacoma. Used / new prices are through the roof for this thing

If willing to travel, try car max. There's a slew of used gen3 tacoma's for sale.

200k miles is essentially end of life for most passenger vehicles regardless of what anyone claims the 300k + mile vehicles are unicorns …

at 200k I’d only consider something with impeccable maintenance history + entire suspension redone etc … that’s a lot of farts in the seats

My 2020 is very good making enough power everywhere, it's pretty linear, rarely exceeding 3k for my driving experience. Seating is ok with the power seat for me being 5'10''. Quality is excellent, but ride is firmer than my gen1 tundra. All in all it's a great mid size truck with little to complain about. Even the transmission works better than when I owned the tundra....it's smooth, and precise.

Since you already have numerous reliable vehicles, why not let the market cool some more before buying a mile’d out truck for $20k?
A third gen 4x4 for low to flat $20k is going to have miles and/or problems.

I was wondering the same thing. I've never understood people who buy a vehicle then go on a rant about how much they hate it.

And this being the most popular, best selling midsize truck. The most popular Tacoma ever. Crazy resale. I think the 3rd gen is approaching 2 million units sold.

Having said that, yes, this truck is not for everyone. There are trade-offs for some. My 2020 has been trouble free so far.

    Lots of good info here.

Back on topic. OP, this member @bigoldbeef has 300K+ on his 3rd gen without too many issues.

I'm going to pass on that 200k truck for sure.

I found this one 86k miles, 1 owner, well maintained he said he'd take 26k which seems fair?

I know we’re moving up the cost scale here but a new sr5 is like 35k…

True that's partly why I was ok with around 20k knowing I'd go up/down a hair but once you're in the 30k range may as well get a new one. I've always just paid cash for a vehicle so I'll feel the extra $1000s vs and extra few bucks it would be if it were to be a loan

I'm not certain that's an SR5 it doesn't have any fog lights which would suggest it's actually an SR.
