I think that I just marked the height of the shelf on the second one wrong. I was more worried about making the mortises correctly. I also did not put them next to each other when assembling. I would not have really mattered at dry fit because the mortises had already been cut.

The shelf and its height were never in my original drawing. I guess I will be sure to add those details next project.

Not that I haven’t done that a”couple “ of times. I use witness marks and labeling religiously , but sometimes you get in a hurry.

I typically use a couple of scrap pieces of wood to make sure shelves and slats are spaced correctly. Different work flow with the Domino. Still 100% on me getting in a hurry and not thinking things through.

Or you could build two more with same measurements. Then you would have two pairs of matching cabinets. Keep the set you like the most, gift or sell the other pair :notsure:

When family and friends ask me what I make out of wood in my garage.

    My answer always is.

The two most common things made in my garage are sawdust and mistakes. #3 would be projects.

I need a new project but have been just coming up with blanks.. someone give me some inspiration on what my next build is gonna be. Ive got some 100+ year old cherry from an old bridge in my hometown that my grandfather held on to for decades. Want to do something cool and meaningful with it but cant come up with anything
