Looks like a compost pile hybrid of an acorn squash and a watermelon. Let it ripen!

That whole family can be freaky

Bought a tobasco pepper plant when I was doing my wifes rose bush she wanted. Figured I would give it a try this year with the one and see how it does. Considering they grow the hell out of them in Louisiana at the tobasco property, figured they would grow here. They do and they produce. Got to say, they are hotter than anticipated, very good flavor and the heat is a good heat, not debilitating. Going to do a whole bunch of them next year. Might even try and get some seeds from a couple of the peppers.

Not as warm as where I am, but it's the same climate, so I figured they would do fine here, which it did. Like I said, I am going to do a bunch of them next year. Might even take some seeds now and see how long they will grow into the fall right now.
They are perfect for the fenadene sauce I make. @wilcam47 and I make that on the regular. Just the right amount of heat that doesn't linger to long.

Neighbour guy has good luck growing next to a concrete wall. I don’t get the required sun exposure where I’m at.

those look similar to thai peppers. If you get a thai pepper 1 plant makes ton of peppers like that size. They turn red when ready

Yeah, up there I would guess you need the residual heat into the night. Just a guess. It's 80° at night here with 80-90% humidity which is what they like I guess.

Thats what these do. I'll look into them, I believe that is what they really are, Tobasco sells them as seedlings and they have a certified name to the pepper because they did their strain thing on them, but I believe you are right, basically the same pepper.
I only bought it because it had Tobasco's name on the pot and I was curious. AND I basically drink tobasco I go through so much of it.
Basically a novelty attempt that got me hooked on it. Doesn't take much effort on my part anyhow, we get daily rain, so no watering. I think I pulled one weed in the last few months. My type of gardening.....effortless.

I got a seed from a Cornuts promo when I lived in ‘Berta. Biggest corn plant I ever saw. Too bad frost got ‘er just as the cobs were starting to form up. Was pretty cool to watch.

I have zero doubt. We have a very good climate for peppers I think. Might even expand my peppers range. Who knows at this point.
