Income wouldn't help much with a credit card, plus you're at a new job right?

Job length (a short one) actually counts against you.

What you need to do, or should've done long ago is get one from a local credit union.

You can opt to have a second one as a secured credit card from a major lender (Chase, Capital One, Wells Fargo, etc) meaning, guaranteed approval with a spending limit set forth by the deposit you put in. You graduate after 6 months to 1 year to an unsecured credit card, your deposit returned, and most importantly an even higher limit.

Fucking raining again. It will rain tomorrow. It usually rains on July 4th. This is interfering with my LC project.

Scores are great but it's also important to consider the - length of your accounts, and available credit (not just unused, but total amount you can borrow) as they're used as multipliers to figure in giving you say, a vehicle loan.

We had literally 790 scores, perfect payment history, get denied or at the very least cut back significantly for a vehicle loan (even with a credit union) because said limit was a total of $1,000 on their file.

    Yep

I always try and offer advice for those that don't know, whether they're new to credit, or have credit but never knew the right way about it.

Easy to maintain, but even easier to fuck up.

For the most part, many have to figure it out on their own unless your parents actually took the time to go over it with you.

I know I'll be doing that with my son for sure.

But I also did it for a living so, I kind of had to know about it and more.

Yea I just started a new job. My grad school income was always gonna be temporary. I’ll look into local credit unions if I don’t get these other cards. I’ve had an account for a long time with a credit union back home in NYS.

@CS_AR I just saw a 05-07 Land Cruiser and it was gorgeous. I think they look just as good as an 80 series. That’s crazy how they only made about 10,000 of the VVT models in the US.

FICO scores as we know them are a more recent invention compared to traditional bank loans. Sears credit was one of the biggest users of bureau scores in the late 90s and early 2000s.

    https://www.fico.com/en/30-years#:~...uced in 1989, the first,credit card or a loan.

In the gym parking lot. Didn’t get a pic but it looked really impressive. IMO they look way better than any 200. I don’t like how they cut down on the visibility from the cabin in the 200 series.
