@DragonPro23 are you able to check my vin? I went with an another dealer who isn’t charging markup. My vin number is 3TYCZ5AN9PT153692 I think it got delayed and is stuck at port, are you able to see what it’s showing on your end? I was told 25 days out 2 weeks ago and now last I heard it’s august 1st for estimated delivery.

 

@DragonPro23, Ordered a 23 MGM TRD SPORT 4X4 on May 18th. ETA was June 16th Got a call from the salesman that the delivery date had been pushed out to July 5th. Received another call from the salesman June 29th saying that the delivery date is now July 11th. The Tacoma with the vin that was given to me by the salesman had been on the dealers site as in transit until yesterday. Now it is no longer showing on the dealer site.(?)

SO PUMPED!!
Took a ride to the dealership (45 minutes) since the Toyota tracker said it was due 30th-5th and it’s finally in! Of course salesman hasn’t called and I’m sure it will be a shit show getting it finalized before I go on vacation Friday. But it’s In! It was built May 3rd and must have arrived July 1st. Thanks @DragonPro23 for being patient and looking it up for me. I’ll try to figure out the coffee thing.
Now I need tires, the stock’s look gay..

 

So I called a dealership within an hour of where I live, within the same state, and they told me due to a new vehicle shortage they cannot sell a new toyota to me if I live outside a 25 mile radius. That is the first I have ever heard this. Has anyone else ever heard of this before?

 

I don’t think that’s an actual thing bc most the time if they really want to sell to you they will. However, dealers can make their own rules so it’s up to them

Out of state ? Yes … never heard the 25mile rule before. My dealer I am getting my truck from is 35 miles from me. We also have at least 10 dealerships within 75 miles.

Pretty sure I’m in te same state as you. I got mine from a dealer 131 miles from me. No questions asked. Took possession 08 June. Inquired and discussed online. Then drove in and negotiated a trade in and price and it a deposit down. 11 week wait. Dealer was good and even had to deal with someone hitting my trade in while waiting. Dealer held allocation for me whole time.

So it looks like my Tacoma is at the VPC in Commerce, Ga. That's about 2 hours from where I live. Hopefully by this time next week I'll be in possession of it.

Ended up getting an OR from the dealer who first said they weren't selling outside 25 mi radius. I think I'm glad I upgraded to the OR from the SR5. Would have waited but this was available, so I'll take it
