I prefer to go places because I can leave all parties involved when I feel like it. Otherwise I have to ask people to politely get the hell out, and they always take too long trying to plan the next get together we will all pretend to be too busy for.

I use the "their backyard is done" excuse as it offers more areas to socialize at their house vs ours. I hate hosting unless I specifically suggested it.
