I believe they we're Nitro, and I went with the 4.88 ratio. There was no option to pick gear manufacturer when ordering assembled clamshell or 3rd member from ECGS. In my opinion ordering assemblies and installing at home is the way to go.

Heh. It's a bit of a long term thing maybe. We have a thing where one of the 2nd floor bedroom floors has a slight sag and we want to fix it before we can put in hardwood floors up there. We've known about it for a while and know it may not be a cheap fix, so we've budgeted some savings. I have a structural engineer coming by Thursday and his recommendations to a contractor will get us closer to knowing how much this is gonna cost us.

So, 2 sets of tires/wheels? It's all on this guy for now...

I agree; however, I do already have an ELocker in the back. I need to regear. 35's are going to be a pain without doing it. Thinking I can wait on the front locker for a bit by doing the regear. Looking at 5.29s Second Gens do well because of their 5 speed at 4.88, but I can't see a doubler in my future, so looking to get as much advantage as I can. Faulty thinking???

Oh there will be some mods all right
Just placed an order for some Brewers tickets. I'm excited. I try to go at least once a year but last year I never made it so this year I definitely had to go.

You're one of the few in this thread that going to a Brewers game is an even longer drive for you than it is for me lol

If you can afford some downtime on your truck you can also send in your 3rd member with the E-Locker and clamshell to ECGS to have gears installed. I'd also do the front locker when getting the gears. Why pull the diff again and pay to have it worked on twice?

You're thinking about a Doubler? Shit's getting serious! Lol

I have an early 2nd gen diff from a sr5 when they came with a legit limited slip sitting in the corner. Definitely high miles and probably missing parts and or in rough shape (honestly don't know much about differentials lol.) Free to anyone in here who wants it.

SR5 didn't have a traction control rear end as far as i know. Those are the bottom feeders... Sport, maybe but I thought it was an Elocker of some sort that Toyota uses. I think I was the only SR5 in this bunch... but mine is better now. Much better...

2005 to 2008 came with a legitimate mechanical limited slip as an option (I think it was on sr5s but perhaps it was on the sport I can't remember) before they switched to the auto LSD in later years and this is one of those.
