Whoo hoo picked up my Dometic today - unboxed - plugged it in, took about 2 hours to get down to 37 degrees.

For fun I unplugged and went 12V into my Yeti 400 - man did that thing wax the juice - in 20 minutes I lost 60% of the juice in the Yeti 400.
When the Dometic was running it was pulling 50-55 watts out of that Yeti 400.

Interested in how the Jackery 1000 Pro handles it. It should arrive in the next day or two.

Me thinks the 5 year old battery in the Yeti needs replacing and I'm gonna do that.
Running another test tomorrow on my CPAP machine to see what it draws down at 12V.
I've never run the Yeti solo, it was always daisy chained to another battery and running lights and CPAP it would go 4 days easy.

Going to field test this thing July 16-17 when I go out to some private property on 750 Acres S.W. of Tucson to do a Milky Way shoot.
Will be real interested in how it handles the heat and how fast the Jackery charges off of solar panels.

Using the Gercell 200w panels I plug into my Jackery Pro 1000 and nothing...
Shouldn't it just start absorbing power ?... there's no 'button' to push ...

    Anyone got a clue?

Keep the fridge as full as possible. When it’s empty it has to work extra hard to keep all the empty air cold.

When I use it I pack it up at home and plug it into 120v and then throw it in the truck last thing before I leave.

Right - been doing some break-in-testing here at the house. Got my Jackery to take solar power from the Grecell using the adaptor Jackery provided.
Very impressed with the Jackery 1000 Pro. Going to field test all of it early next week in Southwest Arizona - no moon = great Milky Way Shots. I'll
be glamping on 800 acres it's lethal to actually camp and the tiny-house on the property has A/C. Hope to find rattlers, tarantulas, coyotes, anything
that moves and with clear skies some nice astro-shots.

I accidentally figured out the problem I was having. I don't really like using the A/C when it's hot and usually open the rear slider and side windows. Apparently, when the outside temps were in the 90's, combined with the input wattage of the solar panel the battery was getting too hot and the integrated charge controller was shutting off the charge. Now when it's hot I keep the A/C on and keep the cabin temp in my truck in the 70's. Haven't had an issue since...

I just got mine today. Now to figure out how to hook up me 3 100 watt renogy solar panels. Fun times.
At least I got a deal on the 1000 pro, on sale for $699!

You'll figure it out - that's a good deal on that Jackery - you're probably gonna have to use the 'connectors' that came in the Jackery kit.
Oh, you're gonna like that 1000 Pro.

I've tried out a couple 200 watt flexible solar panels in the past and their output was sketchy versus their published stats. I currently run four 200 watt non-flex panels on my RV and they work great. I was able to test this out with a mppt controller and it was kicking out at about 90% in full bright sun at midday. I'm very happy with this panel as its so portable.

I'm building my first solar setup currently for inside my leer 122 shell camping setup, going with mostly renogy products since they're affordable. 100ah AGM renogy, 2x 100w panels, 25ft temco 2 gauge, cyrix ct, plus all the other hardware, not sure which controller yet. don't need a whole lot of power since i won't be using an appliances or refrigerator, it'll mostly be for interior/exterior lighting, fan, charging devices and i'm going to put in small 12v LCD screen in the back so i can play my nes or snes classic or run my optiplex 3050 micro which only draws 65 watts max but probably averages half that.
