With shelf like 5 years, usually "the water is safe".
But no worries here. March of 2023 - exceptional price.
Couple days and still smells like fresh rubber in garage.

@paulisinataco Btw, my local trusted tire shop owner (Toyota owner and fan - he's the one, when I originally called about Wildpeaks - "Hey, you need to look at these Falken Rubitreks - I can't recommend them enough - it's what most of us hunters really need") said, "I can't even get Rubitreks at that price from my supplier". Couple weeks before the price was like $166 on Amazon.... I couldn't believe my eyes on the price. Nothing in the order or on Amazon page says "SimpleTire" but that's where they shipped from and they want $204 on their site. What is this 2018 - prices falling?! Great price on what looks like to be really, really good tires.

I think I've settled on 275 70r17 Toyo Open Country R/T. I think they recently out. Walmart offer free shipping - A big plus on Oahu. Install new Bilstein did you ?

My 2019 is at 26k - ( island life ) BUT to my surprise my stock GOODYEAR KEVLAR TIRES which I thought highly of, are ready to be replaced very soon. They do see rock, and dirt periodically. But still.. only 26K

What suspension mods are you considering ?

haven’t done much to it yet, other than to black out the chrome badges, but I have a few plans for it. I will be removing the chin spoiler (or whatever Toyota calls it) and installing a skid plate. I am undecided on the grill. I don’t hate it, but I don’t like the chrome surround, so that will be wrapped in black vinyl at the least. Just happy to have a Taco for now, so I’m in no hurry to make big changes until I decide what I do or don’t like about it…other than the chrome, because I despise chrome. IMG_1905.jpg

Welcome to TW. Always a good plan to drive and get to know your truck before you spend any significant money on mods. FYI, I took the air dam (aka chin spoiler) off my Sport and put on the TRD skid plate and was very happy with the results. Enjoy the new ride! :)

    Paradise island life!

Ah yes, i had replaced the Goodyear Wranglers at about 29k but went with some cheapo IronMan ATs that were surprisingly ok. Those Toyos will be a great upgrade.

Ive actually already got all my replacement suspension stashed away but have been waiting for my Platinum warranty to expire to install (once I roll 100k). Im going with Bilstein 5100s with OME 887 springs, Eibach rear shocks, and Icon RXT leaf pack on option 2. Should give me a 2 inch lift all around

Mahalo for letting me know about your Kevlar experience - glad its just not my luck. I am curious as to not why not using same shock brand all around.

I was given the 5100s from a member who was upgrading just his front shocks. I went with Eibach for the rear because I wanted more travel than what the rear 5100s would provide, and didnt want to deal with trimming down the bushings as would be needed for 5125s (from what I've read anyway)
