    Keeping it running
Picked up a free hitch from u/deanosaurus Sunday and then started to get it cleaned up Tuesday evening. Hoping to clean up the surface rust a bit and then put a coat of paint to protect it a bit. I need to get the hardware to get it mounted on the truck but that can wait. Thank you again u/deanosaurus !D14F43CD-64A7-47D7-9A6F-F24ABE38DD33.jpgBF325C43-BD50-43D9-BE99-F16E2761C3D4.jpg

    Over the past week:
    • Installed cowl snorkel. Need to replace edge trim with bulb seal, which, for some reason, none of the local auto parts stores have in stock.
    • Zip-tied my gas tank skid into place with 175-pound zip ties.
    • Removed and sold my 23" aluminum contractor shell. Pro-Tip: Don't be like me and wheel on these. They will not hold up. I sold it for a fraction of what I bought it for as a result.
    • Repositioned my Decked as far to the front of the cab as possible and lined the gaps along the front and side perimeter with expandable foam weather stripping.
    • Ordered a replacement blower motor and wiring, only to have the motor with the mounts snapped off.
    Today:
    • Dropped truck off at the glass after some assholes broke the windows out of more than a dozen vehicles in my neighborhood. Not psyched.

Added an early Ford Escape luggage rack to the cheap fast-top canopy. 34 bucks at the ol pick n pull. The screws Ford used stripped when I used a drill and a regular ol screw driver. I tried two different escapes. Spent an hour hoping my drills battery would last as I sat on the roof drilling every screw out. Applause were received for my accomplished efforts. sadly I had the same thing happen to my driver window in Fremont a few weeks ago. Some ahole on a bike broke my window as he biked by. I reported it online to fremont pd and they indicated i was one of many who had that happen that same evening. Luckily I had tint on my window so it shattered but didnt make a mess in the cab. It held together enough that the window guy was able to just pull it out as one big shattered piece.

Same for me. I hadn't even realized the window was tinted, so I need to get that taken care of next. The GF, on the other hand... they took out both passenger windows on her Model 3, and also scratched the paint with whatever they were throwing to shatter the windows. Not cheap to fix, and, unfortunately, the guy that I had fix the windows today doesn't do Teslas.

I think it may have been small bolts (I found several 1/8" x 1" allen screws around our parking stalls that weren't there yesterday), but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. Got the bases installed for my Yakima bed rack this evening. Just waiting on the RTT to show up before putting the supports and crossbars on. It was supposed to show up today, but the shipping company somehow managed to misplace the pallet.

Was supposed to be a simple brake job and repaint calipers…turned out to be a pain in the ass…lol. Stuck brake piston on the front passenger caliper.

Bleed screw on the front driver, no fluid was coming out but looks to be a clogged valve.

So im getting mixed reviews if I should bleed all 4 brakes or just the new caliper. There was no air on the rear driver side I couldn’t get the rear passener bleed screw to come loose.

Hopefully next year I’ll be getting a BBK. :)

damn that sucks. on mine, the dude seemed to have been using a glass break tool as he biked by the truck since there is a single point of impact and that was it. I first thought it was a bb gun or something that shot thru the window because of the tiny hole but luckily it got caught on camera. I feel slightly better knowing it was a hit from an object in someones hand rather than a stray bb bullet.
