Cruising along on a hot summer day and that BRAKE! Thing happens for no reason...none! After that my dash is telling me about 3 malfunctions. A headlight switch malfunction, a lane departure malfunction and 1 other...that little triangle shows up like when they need servicing, I cant see the speedo. I have to hit the back button to see the speedo but it only lasts a couple of seconds.
Anyone else ever have this issue?

I had the BRAKE! alarm go off for no reason while on the interstate going through a major city with lots of shadows being cast down from elevated roads above me (unsure if the shadows made it think something was there when it was not) but DID NOT have any malfunctions listed or anything else abnormal other than the erroneous alarm

not to me, but my tacoma has a big round speedo dial on the right of my cluster, what does your dash have?

A bad battery will make your dash do all kinds of crazy things and all alarmas pretty much at the same time, but one can usually tell that your battery is going bad before it happens. Have your battery checked just to be sure.

More info needed. The triangle will have a dash message associated with it. Failing that, grab a OBD reader and see if it triggered something more serious.

A battery test is always a good place to start.

Can't help you on using the digital speedo. Just use the big needle on the right until it gets resolved. I personally found that screen to be so redundantly useless that I set a different display as my default.

    Good Luck

Funny, out of the blue, about a month ago, my dash said BRAKE and a ding sound, then it went away. Nothing happened but it was weird.
