No not really. I do have a few “floating” across the US for fun. It’s something I started to do to pass the time during winter. Some of them look pretty good but the overhead would be prohibitively high to have someone buy imperfect stuff I do and I would feel really feel self conscious selling some 2 or 3 times the price of stuff on the shelf.





Then it wouldn’t be fun anymore.

But, I have fun making them for Christmas Presents etc and let’s me explore what little creativity I have.

We went about 65-70 miles off shore to catch a Yellowfin Tuna, Golden Tile and Blue Tile. We have a number of delicious meals in the future…

Caught a couple dinky bass on my new custom ultra light bfs rod. Even these little guys are fun on 2lb line.

 

A lovely 4th on the beach ends with another Jersey flattie coming home for dinner.

 

Nice fish, but gotta mention the guy in the back ground picking his nose?

what's your favorite way of cooking them fishes up ? favorite sides?

 

I've really only pan fried them with butter, lemon, salt pepper, and lemon pepper. But I've heard they taste great smoked. Usually just do potatoes and vegetables for sides. Usually asparagus and maybe some corn.

 

One lonely Northern. Was a little fun on 8# test and no leader.

I was out in Iowa doing some work and I managed to get a little down time and use my little travel rod with 8#mono. No weight, just a swivel, 24" fluoro leader and a #4 hook. used a small 2.5" grub and managed to get this northern in a little eddy.

 

Down by the dam. Awesome.
Ya. Pink 1/8 oz jighead and 3" Berkeley power grub. (Ran out of white so had to use clear green).
They used to make an off white one. Haven't seen them in awhile.
I'm a self proclaimed walleye fisherman who catches more smallmouth bass and northern than anything. Haha

 

We've had mediocre weather up here all summer but it finally was decent enough last weekend to get my little boat out into the bigger water a bit and find some decent coho salmon fishing. Picked them up trolling lures behind flashers down 50-75'.
