Reinforcement plate near the front body mount, control arm setup closer to the 4runner setup (I believe larger Eccetrics) beefier front body mounts (not support mounts)

it’s not much. But it’s something. The metal appears to be less likely to rot like 2nd gens too. But they’re still fairly new

I just got most of my parts recently. I’ve got a race this weekend then I’ll be working on getting everything lined up to get space set aside to do this

I ended up going down the rabbit hole of finding control arms, leaf’s, full shocks + springs for this thing, and I’ll be resealing the engine

so there should be updates soon. But everything I can find in Toyota collision documents is it all should play fine. The charcoal canister just may get a new bracket made.

And the front lower control arms have to be off a 3rd gen

Yeah, it should be a very direct swap with minimal modifications required. Front lower control arms need to be from a 2010+ 4Runner, 2010+ FJ Cruiser, 2010+ GX460, or 2016+ Tacoma, and there may be a bracket here or there, but you should be pretty good to go.

    Will be interesting to see.

check the recalls on the gen 2 frame if there are holes through it toyota may replace it for free I just had mine done 2 months ago (the drive shaft is also under recall on some 2nd gens) I mean even if you do end up using the 3rd gen frame u atleast have a good 2nd gen frame

The 2007 he is working with expired 12 years from in service, so sometime in '18 or '19.

If you just had an '11 done, you barely made it. Take care of it well, because it won't be free again.

My 1998 took priority (because it was taking up more space) but it’s almost done then this 07 is up next.

Still not done. I’m still waiting for a solid week to do it at work. Not having a lift personally available has been a major hold up. And works abnormally busy still.

Good luck! I ended up finding a matching 4wd 5’ bed 2014 frame to swap into my 2015

5100's, top notch. coils from 2018 trd. Rough country uca's ECGs bushing Carrier bearing drop Diff drop 2" add a leafs
I am most of the way through figuring this out on mine. Motor, trans, diff axles and suspension bolts right up. I had to modify the carrier bearing mount to accept the slightly small unit from the 2nd gen. Also the body mounts are a bit beefier on the newer frame and use a larger bolt. You should be able to use the 3rd gen bolts if you drill the cab to accept them.
