50 months. I put down over $20000 to get my payments low. Then just paid it down as I built up my bank account.

I did the same with my 2016 Sport. Put $18.5k down, had low payments on a 42 month 2.85% Toyota Financial loan, paid it off in 27 months, then sold it after 66 months and got exactly what I paid for it. Other than mods I drove it free for 66 months and 25k miles.

No, the nut holding it in is longer than the bolt's are. It was packed with rust, I broke it trying to take it out! It was really seized up.

Gonna replace them all with "Ultra corosion resistant" ones from mcmastercarr as soon as I figure out if it's a M10 x 1.25 or M10 x 1.5 bolt. And... figure out how to get a bolt out that was so seized up it snapped from "Over loosening" instead of overtightening.

F having the same problem a 2nd time lol

I did too. Bought it and paid it off before I retired. Was going to be my Florida runner. Unfortunately I had way too many issues with it. In and out of the shop continuously the 1st 6 months. Then never ending TSB and RECALL letters on it. I considered selling it for the last 2 years. Then the market took off thanks to covid. As soon as the book value exceeded what I paid I jumped at selling it. Sold it to a Toyota dealer for original MSRP. I actually paid $1500 under MSRP when I bought it new but the interest and taxes paid made it pretty much a break even sale. Then immediately bought 2 Prerunners for $28k and banked the rest. After a couple of months I sold the 2012 SR5 to my son and I ended up keeping a 2008 Off Road with 83k miles. Have added everything to the 2008 that my 2016 had so not missing any 3rd gen amenities (except the sweet 3rd gen mpg). Anxiously awaiting 4th gen pricing. Will never buy a 1st year of a new gen again. If 4th gens prove to be well built may buy one in the 2nd year. I loved the heck out of my 3rd gen. That ended up being a love-hate relationship. Really appreciate the low end torque of the 4.0. Because of my 2016 issues I ended up just flying back and forth to Florida, 4 hour trips with a layover, and don't need to drive that 12 hours. At the rate I drive the 2008 won't hit 100k miles for another 8 years when I will be 73.2016 on 5100s vs 2012 stock vs 2008 on 2022 OR struts a.jpg

I wish you the best of luck sir. Looks as though I've had a bit better luck than you, but we all know that can change in a heartbeat. Enjoy that retirement, I'm hoping to get there some day.

Thanks. Any 3rd gen 2018, or newer, should have those bugs worked out. I anticipated a couple of new model issues but was surprised at the trouble it gave me. I didn't really have the transmission issues like others although it was re-flashed 4 times. The biggest downer to me was the lack of support by the dealership. Every issue I had was well publicized however the dealer wouldn't fix anything until I went through Toyota Corporate which prolonged warranty repairs. I know Toyota makes the best vehicle and that is why I have owned 6 Toyota trucks. I believe too many changes were made from gen 2 to gen 3 (drivetrain). Not very psyched about going turbo in the 4th gens.

Spent like 2 hours metering fuses, cleaning corrosion off of the terminals and putting dielectric grease, only to get 1 tail light working correctly. The others turn signals, brake light and reverse light works but not the tail light itself. So say it's been frustrating may be an understatement but that's likely because theres about 95% humidity.

Parked at a nearby Publix and ran into a fellow Tacoma owner who bought this 22 off-road short bed said he loves it. He said the biggest thing he hates about it is the transmission I told him about getting it flashed w/tune and he was like won't that void the warranty? I said I guess it might. remind me of waiting until I hit 36,000 miles and that was the first damn thing I did got the KDMax Pro.

This really seems like the only legitimate bolt-on front recovery hook. The only thing I wish could be different is where the 'point' is located. It always seems like a shovel in terms of approach angle.

I had and liked this type from Bulletproof Fab. Just had to grind some swing clearance on the skid for the shackle.front recovery skid clearance - Copy.jpg

I may be wrong but that one doesn't mount to the frame but only the radiator crossmember. I think these, and all the rest, are fine for a light straight on pull but the ARB is the only one I know of that is structurally a legitimate 'bolt-on' recovery point. Just don't love the diminished approach angle.

It's the Body Armor Hiline bumper with the high clearance wings. Lots of cutting.

The boxes in front of the tool box are a winch, 20" light bar and 6" LED light bars.

    Gonna be fun!

Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
PSA: do not attempt to install precut auto tint. I just wasted $60 and ruined the film.
I know I botched the install, but I'm still pretty sure that precutautotint.com is a scam. The instructions on their site deliberately didn't mention roll-down window installs or how to work with window trim. There is no way you can slide the film under the rubber seals to install the film!

Either way, I am stubborn and I will be removing the front windows in order to install it. I'm getting really good at disassembling the door after replacing the side mirrors for the fourth time. And the window is only held in place by two bolts. At that point, there's no sense in buying precut tint, just use a roll and trim the excess. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Nope. Mounted just like the others. 4 bolts directly to the frame on passenger side. Rated 8250 pounds and had a 9000 pound rated shackle. This isn't like the "cute useless" shackle mounts like some people use.

This uses 3 bolts that mount to the radiator crossmember in the same place as the oem tow hook.
The arb uses those 3 bolts and another in the frame
