Knolly running a 30% off sale on their raw full builds if anyone is looking. Good opportunity to pick up a great bike for a great deal.

Anyone looking to offload a crankset and BB set? Looking for 73mm BB and 170 mm cranks. Looking for budget set, so nothing carbon or Ti, it's going on a relatively inexpensive gravel bike to replace the square taper unit. Bonus if you have a 38 or 40 tooth chainring. Let me know if you have anything that fits the bill!

No, actually the chain and my legs (lol) bent it. I was approaching a T intersection on the upside of some rolling hills. Car came up to the leg of the T kind of fast while I was on the straight, so I braked until they saw me. Then I was already in a tall gear from going up and down and not really having time to downshift, so I muscled it through about a half rotation until the chainring folded. Probably because the chainline was pretty angled towards the little cassette gear for putting down a lot of power, and it pulled the chainring out to the side like that

The whole thing also caused my chain to break, and of course, I didn't bring a master link or any tools because it was going to be a short little trip. I was near a little bike fix-it stand that really only had screwdrivers and a pump, so I used the screwdriver and my cleat as a hammer to set the side plates back over the rivets. Then I went on my way back in the little ring and with the straightest chainline to the rear cassette. Going back was slow, but wayyyy faster than walking

I actually might have a sram apex 1x crank, no BB though and I want to say they are 172.5 with like a 42t chainring but I would need to go dig it out to confirm those specs.

I have Sram Apex 1x crank, 172.5 with 42t, and a new GXP bottom bracket.

Similar to above, but my stuff only has like 15 miles on it.

170 I think is the limit I can realistically go to. All my bikes are 170 now and I keep considering dropping to something smaller since I have pretty short legs. I think going longer won't be a good fit for me. I'd likely have to swap the chain ring also, I'm running a 38 now, I think a 40 would work, I'd give the 42 a whirl if it's compatible with the 1x10 setup just for funisies but I don't think I have the gas to make that work full time, haha.

What do you mean by raw build?

Just about to pass this on to a buddy of mine that has an older Knolly, he might be interested.

Raw finish aluminum. Re-reading that, it is confusing. I priced out a Fox Factory/XT Fugitive and it was around $4200. It’s still in my cart on their website.

Well, now it’s only 30% off on raw GX builds. Yesterday it was all raw builds. The website is confusing. The first landing spot still says 30% off all raw builds, but now there is a rolling header saying it’s on GX builds. Tried using the discount code “Raw30” on the XT build and it now says it’s not valid on this bike. :notsure:

So, $4276.50 shipped for a GX/Fox Factory build.

Now, I'll be the 1st to admit I don't understand all the assembly details to an air fork, but I'm not sure SRAM's response explains my problem.

"The service technician who worked on your fork observed the oil on both the damper and foot nuts to be residual oil/grease left over from factory assembly. At this time, your fork received a new damper and air spring and was then fully serviced and dyno tested.

It is very important to emphasize that crush washers are not a sealing surface and that your lower legs are sealed off by the air spring and damper shafts being press-fit into the fork's lower legs. It is absolutely normal for a small amount of oil/grease to work its way out as this is likely residual leftover from service and assembly."

I'm seeing a full drip comming off the fork every couple of weeks. 3 total since I've got it back, in late may.
Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Sounds CYA to me... forks shouldn't lose oil like that...

That's what I'm saying, but I'm getting the *you can submit it in for another evaluation* response from SRAM.
If this were true, I'd imagine the showroom floor at bike shops oiled down from all the leaking Rockshox forks. Guess I gotta check their website for a compatible ROCKSHOX tampon that'll fit my fork.

Easiest thing to do would be get a new set of crush washers. If its an air sprung Recon, take the air out then just pop off the lower nuts and replace the crush washers. Kind of sucks, but sending stuff in for work also sucks.

Ah I feel ya. These were takeoffs from I put a power meter on. Probably 1500ish miles on them. I’ve been out all day so I’ll check them in the morning. It might be a 40t front but definitely not a 38. I actually have the full apex 1x11 drivetrain with mechanical levers too.

Sucks indeed. I've already replaced the crush washer once myself, with no resolve. Thinking about just adding some RTV around the bolt. From the fork service videos I've seen, the oil leaking should just be for seal lubrication. Should do it sooner than later.
Not a fan of Rockshox's customer service.
