Made my first trip up there Sunday. Was a fun trail, but dusty in the SxS. And OMG... the mosquitos...

Gotta be one of the biggest drawbacks to SxS is eating all the shit kicked up by the guy in front of you.

    Also the price :puke:

    Hard pass...

These sliders should be able to handle the entire weight of your 1st gen on an obstacle (rock, log, ledge).
These would fold up and not allow you to open your doors.

I don't have experience with these guys but you might try Badland Bumpers HERE

Just passed the lake and to the right, yeah, we drove up there. Not really anything challenging on the SxS, but still fun. My buddy took a bad line and was tipped way over, but he made it through without tipping all the way over.

I bought mine as a 2 year old model for 13500 or so OTD. Had it for... 7 or 8 years. Same model now is $18,800 before tax, with negligible changes. But yeah I get it. The new model I want to replace it with would set me back almost 30k. Way less likely to break the SxS though. And if I do... It's a toy. I don't beat on it either so the only expense has been oil changes, one axle (ripped a boot was all), new wheels and tires (takeoffs bought cheap), and 1 belt change. Teryx is a tank.

$30k+ for a toy to ingest dirt….hard pass. But I do get what you’re saying though.

If someone gave me one I wouldn’t say no.

When I say toy, i just mean it doesn't have to get me to and from work. It can park in the garage til I can fix it at my leisure. So many people thrash them though. If you treat them well they don't need much maintenance.

For the money, you can't find a more capable rig off the shelf.

If you're talking about morons that purchase them, thrash them, ride illegally, and make a bad name for SxS riders... yup...

Sad but true. So many people were riding on the FS roads illegally while we were up last weekend. We trailered to the trail head, as you're supposed to...

Bingo. Crazy capable, which in the wrong hands, is a recipe for disaster on multiple levels.

There are dummies in/on every type of offroad vehicle though.

But the buy in is so cheap people that don't know how to drive them buy them and crash them. Insurance rates have skyrocketed on SxSs for that reason. I think it's also pretty prevalent that people buy a 40 to 50k SxS, can't or don't want to make the payments, and roll them off a cliff.

People are such dirtbags. Might need a cleansing of the gene pool.

I agree wholeheartedly. I've got that Condo down on the Oregon dunes that we rent out. People have broken the walls multiple times in the garage. How hard is it not to drive your vehicle INTO A WALL?? People can't treat anything with respect anymore :(

Seen them in Kent at the Home Depot. Also saw one using the carpool lane on 167.

This went to a new home with @Shadowhunter and his son's truck.

Free to a good home - I have a KB Voodoo Max Modular that is five of six years old and has the standard problems that came with the KB Voodoo racks at the time, peeling, some rust etc.

I have scraped it down a couple of times and painted it with bedliner and that is chipping off in some places otherwise it is in good shape. A little work to clean it up and you will get some good use out of it. I have the parts so you can mount it and use a tonneau cover.

Works great, but getting rid of it because I got rid of my rooftop tent, located near Cle Elum.

Might be a good candidate to chop up for the 1st Gen. Do the legs sit on the bed rails?

Interested! I might try to make an over-the-canopy rack for my soft topper.
