I'm planning a road trip through Oregon the first 2 weeks of September. Planning on camping most of the time, will probably get an AirBnB or hotel room a night or two.

Doing some research on different campgrounds and some say they are "Out of Season" after Labor day. Does that mean this isn't peak season and prices go down? Or does this mean they close to gate to the campground?

I guess it depends on the location? Some places in Colorado get cheaper and other close the gate.

    This is an example

I'm also curious about dispersed camping. This should be easier to find east of I5 right? I would imagine everything west/along the coast is developed. I found some reservation areas and first come first spots. Just curious about dispersed in National Forest areas like Umpqua and Deschutes.

My brother camps (dispersed) along the Metolius river like every weekend. I think the app ‘DYRT’ is helpful- not totally sure bc I didn’t use the paid feature.

Depends on the campsite -- call ahead. Some sites the camp host packs up and bails out to warmer areas. Some sites are just straight up free or discounted (typically the ones w/o a host).

This, it varies depending on the campsite.
