Its as simple as throwing cigarette butts out the window.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
That's an excellent question, and I'm sure the Feds would trot out all manner of canned answers..."resources", "training", "budgets", and so on.

I make my kids clean up their messes at home and woe be them if I catch one littering out in public. But I also show them the results of a**holes who litter in our streams, rivers, and forests. It's a constant and enduring lesson of "pack out more than you pack in". In a sense I suppose I enable the jerks who leave the mess, but that's a lower priority than keeping these places open and accessible for my kids and eventually their kids.

The part of zephyr that is the cove resort down there was way cleaner than the public party beach. And they were asking people if they had alcohol and checking cooler and bags and had a beer garden set up. Wonder how much different the trash would’ve been if all beaches were dry.

but then again there’s a large amount of people who drink and DO pickup their trash.

1st ride of the season. Wheel has been previously abused at Northstar so a Tyrolean lap was all it took lol

How’d it ride? I rode woodsplitter and big chief today on my old trail bike with some friends. The new bike is still getting fixed from my derailleur hanger explosion 4A2F245A-8279-4E38-A435-A260F4D3FBA9.jpg

they’re also truing wheels and tightening the spokes so that hopefully doesn’t happen. I want the new bike for tyrolian since this trail bike now feels awful after riding the enduro

I want the truck lookin like this for as much of summer as possible that’s for sure

Tyro is super good right now. No snow, pretty dusty already tho. They fixed the lips on majority of the jumps so it's running smoooooth

Next week I’m out there I think after I ride cold creek. Been itching to get on that one again cus the drop at the bottom of the rock garden at the top spooked me the first time with the awkward run in as well as the big line off the slab halfway down. An 8 foot huck to almost-flat is never something to take lightly though. Gonna try to get 2 northstar days this week. Not stoked to wear the kneepads with the sunburns I got on my upper leg from July 4th tho lol.

but dh park and trails like tyro they’re very necessary

I would honestly hold off on Northstar. I rode it Thursday (yesterday) and only section 1 - 5 of livewire is open, boon docks and coaster. Even mineshaft was closed for most of the day. I would wait for more terrain to open

The stuff off the gondola isn’t awful tho either is it? I really want to just get a lot of miles in descending and progress at jumping/harder tech

It's not too bad, I wish the vista side was open. The terrain over there is my favorite

Nice choice. Those things are fast. If I wasn't a carpenter that needed to have his tools I'd be driving a Tesla.

Yeah it’s fun. It’s small, but a little bit of everything.

I don't believe I'm quoting myself from something I said over a year ago, but I unfortunately did not have an uneventful 20k service today. Oil drain plug was most likely not correctly torqued:
