This goes to me being old and knowing things from 10 years ago, BUT if you can find a D90 or D200 in good shape, should be cheap. Spend the money on glass instead of the body.

Flip a coin cannon or nikon, my buddy in bikes shot with Pentax, they were fine. Sony is fine but uses some sort of proprietary connector for something, can't remember what, but they call it the alpha system. Whatever it's for, it's proprietary. Probably only a "concern" for a larger scale operation.

Throw a dart and have at it. I'll see if I still have any of my old stuff (it would be Nikon) to hand off.

Agree, spend your money on the lenses not the body. The alpha system is for their lenses I believe, which will cut out a huge chunk of the available lenses you can use with a Sony (I believe, could be wrong)

We did the Vegas thing in 2005..had planned a party at her parents' house that summer but didn't happen due to her mother's health failing. No regrets. Whole wedding cost us $1000, including a DVD of the ceremony, 300 pics on CD, buying (not renting) the tux and wedding dress, and buying the rings.

We are figuring either elope or have a tiny ceremony (with like 6 people in attendance). Then we have a big casual cookout with everyone we know. It'll probably be a couple years, though. We have lived together for four years but only been engaged for 2 months.

The worst invasive species I have found is Japanese knotweed. I have a ton of it near my river. Kicker is I am not supposed to get rid of it even though it's invasive because riverfronts are protected areas. I am not sure how successful I would be anyway. I have discovered that it's amazingly resilient. The frost killed it this year and a week later new pieces had come up bigger than ever.

Too bad I just gave away my Canon Rebel XS. Older 10 MP camera, but would have been a good one to learn on.

I have been fighting this bamboo since we got the place.
    Invasive.

    Everything says to eradicate it.

Conservation Commission keeps making my life difficult.

Biggest myth is that we OWN anything.

And don't play party or state favorites.

    It is every state.
