More and more private veterinary practices are getting bought by a corporate chain and run into the ground...

Are there any retailers near Denver that sell the Anderson Powerpole connectors? I want to hook up to my GoalZero as a 12V constant power for electronic bench projects that don’t require an expensive dedicated DC power supply.

If you have the wire, I have the connectors and crimpers. Can easily put a few plastic pieces on for you in seconds. Live in Northglenn but in Denver most weekends.

Those connectors were popular on hobby-grade R/C car batteries in the mid-2000s. Maybe they still are? I'm far out of that scene now.

I thought the hobby RC cars used XT60 and that other one that is hard to solder to…

Thanks! I only have 18AWG on hand, so I’ll have to swing by the hardware store and pick up something a bit thicker to make it a multi-purpose plug for future use. I’ll send you a DM when I get the wire.

Well, at the time we were all subscribing to magazines to read articles discussing the optimal charge cycles for NiCd and NiMh batteries while wondering whether Li-po were worth the risk of bursting into flames. The world's a different place now I guess.

Speaking of LiPos bursting into flames, my 6 day old (to me) EV was hit. And we have two new lawn ornaments in the front yard. Cool. I didn’t want to sleep tonight to enjoy my day off tomorrow for a nice mountain bike ride with friends…

Does that make them your property now? Their insurance can write you the total checks.

Ham radio still uses power pole connections. Check Ham Radio Outlet for all the Anderson power pole connectors, crimpers etc... In Denver they are off Evans I believe it is...

As far as rc goes... Well lipos definitely changed things. Nitro is fading fast due to the strides in electric. Most people use XT series, dean's, or EC series. Traxxas has proprietary plugs and so does spektrum for their telemetry and data mining....

I’m probably just going to take the check and rattle can it. This car is pure appliance to me. $2 a week for charging covers commuting and around town errands with a few miles to spare. Vs $2 in gas to just get to the on-ramp to I-70…

omg. this city has a serious homeless problem. those bastards are breaking into not only the restrooms, but are now kicking in the doors on the historical buildings and camping out there as well. This whole day has been spent beefing up the security so those fuckers can kick in the doors again over the weekend and cause even more damage. One lady at the downtown Transit Center had a run in with one of them and he pulled a knife on her.
Only a matter of time before some innocent person dies.
Most of this damage happened on the 4th and of course I'm getting the calls on Friday afternoon.

It has gotten bad. My GF and good friends all work downtown. They get harassed a lot.

Being homeless is one thing and I certainly would do what it takes to survive. But harassing innocent people and destroying property doesn’t fall under “whatever it takes to survive.”

How much should I worry about my toolbox/cab getting busted into during my stay in Denver and CO Springs?
I got a bike lock on my spare too, but a tweaker with bolt cutters won't be stopped for long...
