Bought a 2000 Jdm replacement engine for my 1999 tacoma and have yet to get this thing running.
Won’t idle and but will eventually rev up and then start sputtering and die.

fuel trims are 0 for a while and then stft will max at 19.5 or so.
No known vacuum leaks. I’ve replaced fuel injectors/cups.
Maf meter is reading 8-20 g/s(?)
Intake and coolant temps are reading properly.
I’m leaning toward a bad injector(I bought the cheap ones on eBay).
    Any other ideas?

So you swapped in the bare JDM long block and swapped the engine harness sensors and ECM onto the engine from the 99 engine ??

At no time trying to start the engine have any codes tripped ?

    The OBDII system is working??

    yes. Changed/swapped all the sensors.
Did have a lean code when I tried to drive it down the road. I changed the fuel injector cups after that for a vacuum leak but no more codes. Obd2 system appears to be working as I’m getting sensor info from ultra gauge..

Just why did you replace your engine?

Might be time for a leak down or compression test .

Just what type of warranty do you have?

Any more you need to be ever so careful.

Unless you have a poor connection causing an open circuit it should start and run.
