Can't get here soon enough. Been so long waiting to have Google Maps/Onyx offroad in all its glory. Tired eyes squinting at my tiny ass 6.8" phone. Another thing that will make long distance travel that much better.

Think they used a wide angle lens. Looks bigger that way but it's looking vert smart!

Similar to my truck but it's a 2.7t I thought about getting the 5.0 the only other options it don't have compared to that build, is the extended range tank and the FX4 pkg. I like the ext tank, and would have liked to have the skid plates.

Ignoring the hideous chrome, that stance looks pretty good to me. Front is level what looks like 31" tires fit well. Also looks noticeably bigger. Get the feeling a 2G/3G is going to look small parked next to a 4G

Drove my buddy’s 5.0 the other week, I like that! The tow/haul mode was rather aggressive (which is good).

Couldn’t find the extra payload package on the 5.0 only the 2.7. Ext tank is a must have. Like a console, couldn’t find a way to do it in the XL, had to step up to the STX. Like more bare bones…or maybe I don’t…

Long story short, my 1G engine install is delayed once again, going into week 9… I raised quite the fuss, so they are giving my wife a loner.

She doesn’t pay attention to all this vehicle nonsense, we pull into the dealer today, she sees the Tundras for the first time, she says, “good gawd those trucks are fucking ugly! Why in the fuck are the grills so large!?”

I'd be on the gas too much with the V8, I think the 2.7 payload pkg is just the 9" gear. Don't know if the V8 3.73 has the same gear. I prefer the console, I was going to get a regular cab and those all have the bench seat, feels more like a work truck with the bench. The Tundra grille is big, the sloping hood makes it look odd to me if that edge was square I think it might look better.

Think I would still drive it how I drive my Tacoma, baby it. My buddy drives a lot more aggressive than me, was ringing that poor thing’s neck. The tow/haul mode really cranked up the rpms to the point I thought he was shifting it, turns out he was just playing with the throttle. While I did drive, it was in tow/haul…would have liked to see it without it on. It was one of those being stuck on the mountain days rolling back into town at 3:00 am sorta a trips, beyond exhausted to play around with it. Liked the size of the interior too, though the ergonomics fit me better in the Toyota.

Yeah I had to laugh at my wife…going WTF!? is that!? Over the Tundra.

The loner they gave us a RAV4 TRD, ugly…but the interior is nice and roomy. Rides and drives well, my Tacoma is smoother. Think this trim is around $43K…why anyone would pay that for a RAV4 is beyond me. Could buy a SR Tundra for that. (not really a car guy) Be an ok commuter car, could seeing paying $30K for the base.

Yeah definite 1st gen vs 2nd gen vibes. Completely different class of vehicle.

I don't believe anything, and consider everything as a possible fake. The only thing I would question in that particular photo is. The driver window being down, the 3g parked next it with the window being up. How did the driver exit the 4th gen truck? I do like the blue truck the owner has a build thread here.
