People should be pissed as to WHY inflation has risen as fast as it has. Your dollar is worth less now than it was 5 years ago. Government printing money devalues currency.

Oh I understand inflation. As a matter of fact, today’s admin is heading right for it.

Inflation is a fun thing to watch. They think they can control it until they can't.

If Arizona Iced Teas can stay at $0.99 for over a decade then so can Tacomas!

Best one is the Costco Hot Dog w/Soda for $1.50

That hasn't changed in literally my entire life, over 30 years! Such value :)

Just curious as to what was difficult about the SR5? Did you want a specific package like the Sonar package?

Yes, I was looking for an ‘18 with TSS. Few and far between in the L.A. area back in November. Every dealer had $40,000 plus OR’s loaded with stuff. I wasn’t ready for another 20,000+ loan, particularly with this Admin.

OK. I basically just waltzed in the day I was ready to buy and they had quite a few to choose from.

For some reason, the ‘18 SR5’s were(?) hard to come by here in the San Fernando Valley. I ended going to another county.

With the current increases in the fed interest rate and treasuries going up, I think the days of cheap interest are fading fast... In 2012 I refinanced my house at 3.45% fixed for 30 years. Housing prices have increased at least 30% since then in my area. The economy is strong and work is plentiful. Low interest was to "spark" the economy and I'd say it has sparked. Sadly the 0% and 0.9% auto loans are rarely available to the people who could benefit the most from it due to bad credit. In all honesty prices have remained pretty flat for the last decade. This year I've seen big increases in building materials but that doesn't seem to stop or slow down the work. Bottom line things are set to get pretty expensive in the near future. The rich have gotten very rich, the middle class has barely hung on and the poor are still poor.

You nailed that 16D with one blow. The cost of living is going up too fast.

In these times, you gotta do what you gotta do to get by. I’m just glad we mortgaged our home before the house market crash. Things are slightly changing now a days lending wise, but price wise, better get at it before it gets worse.

I just bought a second truck at 0.9% for the company. Every years a tundra costs $2000 more for the same truck. The write-off and the interest make it all possible. Besides, we always will need another truck lol.

I was searching some posts I started to update a post, but came across this which me brain cells forgot about.

Damn, $30,000 dollars for an OR. The 3rd gen OR’s should be selling for $35,000!!!!!

Well, I gave up the ghost on the lottery. I’m just glad I worked my butt off when I was young and made the right choices. Portfolio is hanging tough these days thankfully. It’s just these damn interest rates got us locked EVERYWHERE.

Stop posting your window stickers. You make me cry!
In all fairness, technology has moved along in that decade also, new features available. May not justify the extra $20K, but what has gotten cheaper in a decade? Quality of parts and assembly may have decreased though. I could even see that from my 2019 to my 2023.
