I'm curious what your total investment was in this whole project. I'm able to accomplish the same thing with my $79 Ryobi router table.

    Over $500

I mean in could have done it with jigs and guide and no table for free, but I have the money so no worries.

    Yours has a lift?

Hows the bit height adjustment working for you. Pretty easy to adjust?

I just use the adjustments on the router itself. I've yet to find a reason for a lift. That's why I asked. Maybe I'm missing something?

It’s easy and quick and solid and finer. Those are four reasonable excuses and the fun factor kicks in for me personally.

The lifts are awesome and just simplify things, you do your adjustments from the top and don’t have to go under the table to mess with the router. When doing really precise work it’s great as many times you’ll need to adjust the height multiple times.

I have that same lift. The adjustment has a scale, and you can very easily make incredibly fine adjustments. I love it.

I like that no one mentioned my cheapie featherboards being bass ackwards in the pictures. Lucky the machine wasn't on! (joke pics from my early posts):rofl::D

Serious question: When cutting grooves/dado on the table, the vacuum in back is pretty useless and all the shavings are shot forward. Is there some way to rig sucking from underneath?

That’s a wide open table underneath. Mine has a sealed box with an opening for a 4” hose from my large dust collection system. Some sawdust still gets away, but far less than if I wasn’t using vacuum.

I use my table saw and a dado stack for this type of work.

For your router, this would help collect dust from the bottom.
